“We had a strong applicant pool,” Engstrom, who put the number of applicants at more than 60, said Thursday. “And we’re in the process of narrowing down to our finalists.”
"Sources have said Engstrom, who is chairing a search committee that numbers more than 20, will announce the finalists next week. He said Thursday that may be rushing things, but that the goal remains having an AD named by the start of fall semester on Aug. 27."
"O’Day was hired on July 30, 2005, at the end of a three-month search that included public forums with the finalists."

Odds are the AD choice will be a familiar name...This search - like Dennison's seven years ago - is most likely a sham. We can only hope that EK has the minimal smarts not to resort to the Jean pool.
