Academically Inelligible?

The Missoulian droped some line at the end of an article today that said that Mike Chavez could not compete this semester. I thought he was cleared to go this year.

Coach K has previously said he would not play until the semester has concluded. This gives him a chance to repair his academic standing. He is practicing with the team.

NCAA states that you must maintain a certain GPA in order to be academically eligible. That's why Derrick Mansell couldn't play for a couple games last year. He couldn't play until the winter credits he took came through and bumped up his GPA.

Chavez will be eligible in Dec (before Conference starts).
