Kind of odd to not have the scoreboard figured out for first game. Was it facilities coordinator or first or second assistant facilities coordinator......or Monte driver inner who was in charge of that?

My guess is some sort of catastrophic electrical issue. You’d think that with all the bucks poured into the stadium over the years they’d have these issues and the REF MIKE - HAS THAT EVER WORKED? - figured out.

Though to be fair, I dunno if the University funds and runs the reader boards, score boards, etc or if it is Learfield. My guess would be Learfield based on stories I’ve heard about the electronics is the stadium mostly being held together and run by bailing wire, bubble gum, duct tape and hopes dreams and wishes.

Was calling a AA football game Friday night, went through every check there was, broadcast worked, commercails worked, 2nd mic worked, internet feed worked... Went to 1st break, commercials wouldn't play, internet went down, and audio out somehow switched to an alternate output... All this in about 3 minutes from check... Point is, sometimes things just go wrong, and you really have no idea why. BUT, I can guarantee you that there were MANY people freaking out and trying EVERYTHING they knew at UM if all that went down.
