Season ticket notice: November 1st game tickets were inadvertently left out of season ticket packets. A post card was mailed out to ticket holders that will be your admission to game. All seats for that game will be general admission. UM apologizes.

Quick summary:

Jamar - looked like the same guy from last year, handled the ball bringing it up court a bit more, started out cool but warmed up late. He had some good deep shots and attacked well.

Ward - Pushed our two centers around easily underneath, hit a few good deep shots himself.

DeSheilds - Decent ball handling, did throw a few turnovers, some good steals as well. Outside shot wasn't there, dished the ball well and connected with Andy Martin for three easy assists that all led to slam dunks.

Weisner - Shot very well from the perimeter, played pretty good defense as well. Looks like a guy that will see a lot of playing time this year. Looked like a good swingman out there, grabbed some boards, hit a few 3s.

Gregory - Probably was the points leader tonight, 3 or 4 three pointers hit. Looks like he's backing up DeSheilds but can come out and play in a 3-guard set as a perimeter shooter. Really impressed me of the guys that were mostly on the bench last year.

Hutchinson - Inside shooting was choppy, missed a lot of shots he probably should've made. Had a few bad turnovers too. Good defense for the most part with a few good blocks. When Ward got physical with him he'd back off - also got called for 1 if not 2 offensive fouls (charge).

Martin - As a 7 foot frosh center he impressed me with his athleticism and ability to go get rebounds. He had a few good blocks and 3 slam dunks. His big issue was fouls, they weren't keeping count on them but I think he had 7 or 8 total. Considering our lack of size inside I expect he'll play this year.

Coleman - Quiet shooter but I think he made a handful of shots over the course of the evening, good mid-range shots and quite a few rebounds.

Emerson - Had some good moments, distributed well, hit a few shots.

Henderson - Didn't see much from him, looked like he cramped up and it was bugging him

Young/Wiley - Didn't notice much from them.

-------------

Cherry was in a big boot and was on crutches after the men's scrimmage. The team looked ok but you can tell they're missing Will out there and the lack of an inside presence right now was pretty apparent. This team will be taking a lot of outside shots, that's pretty obvious.

--------------

Only caught about half of the women's I think the starting 5 and a few key backups for the ladies are pretty darn good. That team could shred the conference this year. Hill was dishing the ball well and hitting threes, DeBoer and Baker were playing great defense, Sullivan had quite a few steals - and some key backups were making plays too.

Not a chance dingle shmitt! They have solid coaching on the hard wood... Quit being such a jealous zealot...I was there you weren't... End of story.
