A bottom for the Big Sky??

here it is ..March, a semi final game between two o fbest of the Big Sky Conference and the best they can do is show a bad and grainly pic on the internet, with no announcers and the names of the two best university programs are in error? How much idiocy and incompetence will it take until someone decides to do something right in this "conference"? Even high schools have better facilities and support...this should be an embarrassment to every one affiliated with the Big Sky "tournament".......never seen or heard anything like it...

It is on Altitude but that sucks too. The announcers are pathetic.
Sorry, never heard of Altitude..not worth watching on the net.....really pathetic...no announcers, choppy pic, grainy pic, mislabled schools, no crowds, .......guess what....no fans.....

I think Big Sky TV adds an addional suckage filter to the broadcast going into Calif. Must be jealous. Or the PAC 10 is jamming it because they want your patronage.

The Pac-10 tournament is no better. Apart from the USC/UCLA games and, possibly, the championship game there will be sparse attendance at best.

There's no central location available for the Big Sky conference to play this game. There's no reasonable solution when all the schools, apart from a few of the rivals, are half to full day drives apart. If the NAU-UNC game was being held tonight in Missoula instead of in Greeley, I'm pretty sure that very few of you would be there either.

I don't give a damn about the Pac !0 tourney....but if you think the sad performance tonight of the Conference ecast and effort to put out the games is acceptable, then, fine.....frankly, it speaks volumes of just how bad the venues in the BSC are and most totally lacking in support from students and fans....Perhaps they ought to play the tourney in the stadium that draws the most fans all year.....If the NAU game was in Missoula, I am certainl there would be a larger number of fans there than you think...

GrizLa, surf the channels for some of the smaller conference championships. If the home team isn't playing it looks just as bad as do the smaller venues. They had a good crowd for the second game. I agree BSTV stinks, but you get what you pay for. We had our chance to play in our house. We blew the opportunity, now it is what it is. I hope you can enjoy the Griz win. Tonight's game is listed for ESPN2. You should be able to get it on cable. Try to remember there are a lot of Big Sky teames sitting home right now with their thumbs up their butts. We are still standing. Go Griz!

Shocking how Nebraska and OK were having the same issues in their Big 12 Matchup today with it only 30 to 21 at half (it was only 25-15 with about 3 minutes left in the half.) Sometimes Defense rules the day.

Hell, Washington only scored 17 in the first half against the Cougs a week ago. This is from a team that is 3rd in the NATION in scoring at 84 ppg. As Peaux said, sometimes defense rules the day.

The picture on Altitude wasn't great, but was a better production than KPAX, and about the same quality as I get on Dish ESPNU. The announcers weren't great, but when are they? My pet peeve about Altitude is they want to be a regional sports network, but all the commercials and promos refer to my hometown this and that as being in Denver - uh altitude if you are a regional network try to remember it is insulting to remind people 1000 miles away you are their hometown sports network, but don't care enough to look outside the neighborhood. that pettiness aside, at least they got the UM right this time. And UNC's appeared to have a good atmosphere for the game, so that was nice.

Well, sometimes defense has absolutely nothing to do with missed shots, airballs, a 7 footer dribbling on the perimeter in front of small, quick guards, and head fakes before passing the ball to the other team....just sayin

The Big Sky is what it is, a fairly good Mid-Major conference. I just love to watch college BB, and the Griz provide an exciting product most games. Next year, they are a big-man/rebounder and shooting guard away from being a VERY GOOD team.

I'm hoping Reader can fill in at the center spot, he's 6"9" now and may grow another inch by next year. He has just turned 18 so he may have some growing to do. As for the shooter, the kid from Colorado may fit the bill, but I suspect we will lose one or two guys this spring off of the current roster that may allow a JC shooting guard to be added to our current roster.

A shooter would be nice, but I would rather see a wide-body big man who can eat-up space, defend, and rebound. He does not have to be a scorer if he can do these other things. These types are very hard to find, however.
