9-2?

Our schedule is tough this year... Will 7-4 get us in the playoffs? 9-2 doesn't seem realistic..... Although we have the talent as athletes... Not sure about talent for offensive coaching though... It's a Stitt show....

Wow, I was gonna respond with why I think the Griz will go 8-3, but didn't realize this was going to be another coaching thread. You do realize NDSU is STILL BY FAR the best team in the country and the Griz beat them, with Stitt at the helm. Yes, they have played poorly since, but that win hasn't been erased. The Griz are 1-2 not 0-3. Good lord this is gonna be a long week on this board.

This playoffs talk is just a holdover from the Hauck(and before)years. Living off our laurels. IF we get into the playoffs, by some miracle, should be the intro. Sugar coating is getting out of hand. Bust them maroon glasses. See the world as it REALLY is.

I think that even that is generous. From what I've seen, the Griz would be hard pressed to beat Northern Colorado, let alone the rest of the Big Sky. Face it. We thought Stitt was a miracle worker... turns out he isn't. This is two games in a row that opposing defenses have annihilated Stitt's offense. I guess things just don't scale up from CSM like we thought they would.

I said 6-5 or 7-4...and I'm sticking with it. Your defense will get you there. Too many new things to get ironed out in year 1 of a multi-year contract with Bob and his innovative approach to football!

Most reasonable people thought we would be 2-2 and possibly 1-3 after 4 games, so not really any surprises so far.

Now if it continues to be .500 ball after the schedule softens and we should be getting some continuity... then we're in trouble.

THERE'S that "sinkin' ship" I'm such a fan of...some of you folks never cease to amaze me.

Yep. And seriously, the defenses we've faced haven't really had anything to do with our offensuce struggles. The Griz have done waaay more to hurt themselves than opposing defenses have done to "annihilate" it.

Yep. Dropped passes. Turnovers (and not necessarily by "great" defensive plays). Crappy O-line play. Red Zone performance. Kicking game.

EWU may give us fits. The QB thing is big but I don't see why we can't clean up on some fundamentals and run the board on the rest of our regular season matchups.
