Where is all the outrage??

Two women reported being raped in separate incidents at two Montana State University fraternity houses over the weekend.

Police responded to a report of a rape at the Sigma Chi fraternity on Sunday at 1:24 a.m., according to an alert sent by the university on Monday afternoon.

The woman reported partying and drinking with new friends at the house, located at 722 S. Willson Ave. The victim was then reportedly taken into a bedroom and sexually assaulted by two unnamed men.

The same morning, at about 3:45 a.m., MSU police responded to a late report of a rape.

A woman said that she had been partying with a man she knew on Friday at the Pi Kappa Alpha frat house, 1321 S. Fifth Ave. She suspected that she had been drugged and sexually assaulted.

MSU police are currently investigating both incidents.

In the wake of the reports, both fraternities' school recognition has been temporarily suspended while the university investigates the allegations, said Dean of Students Matt Caires.

The fraternities were issued interim suspension notices Monday, Caires said. While suspended, the two fraternities can't participate in any events or host any events at their houses.

“This is the most urgent matter I'm dealing with at the university,” Caires said.

There have been six rapes reported to MSU police this year, including these two incidents, MSU Police Chief Robert Putzke said. No one has been arrested or charged stemming from the two latest reports.
