1st of all, chances are very likely Hasquet will not have another stinker like that again. He is too talented to give up on. What we forget about is he is only a Soph. Jordan will be an asset more often than not, when he is struggling sit him early and get him time here and there to get him going.
Secondly, Ellis is hurting physically. He needs to get healthy.
3rd- Martin is much more comfortable at SG, so get Rundles his time for Ellis now until Ellis is healthy.
1-Rundles (until Ellis is healthy)
2-Martin
3-Dloughy
4-Hasquet
5-Strait
Swift, Chase, Staudacher, Ellis, Sharp (good things happen when he is on the floor), Chavez (more time when he plays D). If Vanderjagt does not RS, find him 10 mins a game. I hope he Redshirts though.
Note on Staudacher: If other perimeter players continue to struggle. Get him out there with Strait as often as possible. Staudacher is the one Guard we have that can consistently make teams play for collapsing on Strait. This is the very reason why Martin is a bigger asset at SG than PG. Martin is given more of a greenlight when at SG. He is capable of filling it up, but he needs his minutes to do so at SG.
Dloughy and Hasquet both are capable outside shooters. Dloughy has learned to be an asset with D, penetrating, and passing even if his shot is struggling. However, when he is on, I want him to shoot more!! I love his stroke when it is on. Jordan needs to learn from Dloughy on how to be an asset when his shot is not there. When Jordan is on he is the best player on the court many times. When his O is off though, it affects rest of his game. That is part of being young and talented. Same applies to Swift too.
Just my opinion. Thank God we have have depth. It will see us through struggling players more often than not. Now go get Wyoming with a barage of consistent inside/outside play!!!!!!
