C'mon, Grizfan-24, this schedule is a murderer's row.

Wyoming
Drake (home)
Whale's Vag (home)
Portland State
Northern Colorado (home)
Cal Poly (home)

I have never been a fan of the "Weak/Strong schedule" debates, BUT I would agree that MSU has had it easy so far (besides Wyoming, who I think is good, but maybe isn't... Now that I look, I am not sure). MSU finishes with a very hard schedule, and we will all see how it goes. UM has played 2 games VS good teams (UW is same as Wyoming, are they any good? they are FBS just like Wyoming, I would like to see those two play each other). I will say that it is a bummer that Cats get a short week before playing at Weber, with them coming off a bye. We will all know how it all went by the end of the year.

Western Illinois would beat all the teams but one on your schedule as well. They lost by six to eastern and narrowly lost to a good SIU team that just beat SDSU. Their offense was good, period. UMs defense when healthy might be the best defense in the FCS this year. We have a bunch of starters out now on both sides of the ball which is really hurting the team right now. If we play a game like we did last Saturday we will be beaten by sac this weekend though, all all aspirations of home field advantage in playoffs as well as a big sky championship will go out the window. Time for UM to find some answers on offense this week, or we will be mourning a loss to a mediocre sac team, and picking up the pieces and trying to salvage the season.

Going into halftime up 3 to zip against Dixie State is commendable because that is a powerhouse program, they are way under rated at 0 and 5.

Cal Poly is the only common opponent so far and I’m sure you heard what Bo Baldwin said about the Cats post game, that’s somebody who would know.

I have absolutely no clue what he said about the Bobcats. Did he make fun of them?

I heard he complimented the cat offensive and defense but said Coach Sixx had an incredibly weak handshake. For some reason Sixx repeatedly referred to Coach Baldwin as Alec.

Actually we have another common opponent this year in Portland St. They were beating you guys late in the 3rd before you pulled away winning 30-17. I remember the Griz steam rolling them 48-7. So using your own logic we must be way better than the Cats on both sides of the ball 😂

Weber has a bad offense. Let’s see if you guys get by them first. Your post will be pretty damn funny if you don’t.

I always kind of thought Sixx looked like a weak handshake guy. Makes sense.

I forgot about Western Illinois, but would say they would lose to 2 teams we have played so far... That is just my opinion

Funny story... I was broadcasting a game last week, and had one of the Cats Basketball assistant coaches coming in at halftime for an interview... He came into the booth, and I was in the middle of stopping a commercial, so I wasn't looking right at him... I went to shake his hand, and did this EXACT thing as in the picture... We awkwardly looked at each other, and I said "Well, this isn't starting out well" I asked if he wanted to do the interview just holding hands like that... He said no.

Which two? Maybe they lose to PSU, maybe I’ll give you that one. It would be a toss up. I assume that’s the game along with Wyoming you think they would win, but I call that one a toss up. Those are the only teams that could beat WIU on your schedule, one would be a tossup. WIU vs PSU would be an interesting matchup, but I think the WIU that played SIU into overtime last weekend wins that game.

cats have a very good team this year solid on offense and very solid on D. Over the next Four weeks we will learn a lot more about them.
How will they react in a close game? Can they overcome a deficit (if they get behind)? How will they react to bigger faster opponents than what they have faced? If they lose a game how will they bounce back?
I can see the Cats beating EWU,Weber, and Griz or I could see them drop 1or 2 not all three.

They seem to be very healthy (correct me if I'm wrong) That goes along way in building continuity on both sides.
I hate the cats will all my being but I respect their team this year!

Another like opponent comparison would be November of 2019 when they actually played each other, it could be argued that has been the easiest game for the Cats since then even with their recent “easy” schedule.

That 19 Griz team had a much better offense then the current iteration.

Equally relevant would be to take a look at the 1950 and 1951 games. The Bobcats couldn’t move the ball in either game. It will be interesting to see if they’ve corrected those issues, or if they’re still the same team.

Here is who Montana State has played:

Wyoming
Drake
San Diego
Northern Colorado
Cal Poly
Portland State

There isn't an offensive unit in that group that has challenged them. All of them, minus Poly, play into their strength.

Yes Montana has to fix some of its offensive issues, but my hunch if you were to compare offenses by the time we reach the Cat-Griz game, you'd find that Montana would be superior to all but Wyoming. I get the pessimism, but I want to see MSU against Eastern before I'd chalk them up as the Chicago Bears in 86. Montana State has an incredibly soft schedule to start this year and has as of yet to play anyone ranked in the upper 1/4 of FCS football.

C'mon, Grizfan-24, this schedule is a murderer's row.

Wyoming
Drake (home)
Whale's Vag (home)
Portland State
Northern Colorado (home)

Where is Diversity U? The old wooden ship?

Might want to lay off the easy comments…..some here might make fun of your easy mother. Not me but others 😂

we have an easy schedule no doubt from here until the brawl but yes I fully expect it will be a blow out..not sure if we will score 48 points but for sure we should keep the cats to 14 or less. Might be closer to 28-7 griz....

My expectations have been tempered until we get some offensive consistency and some players back from injury/illness. While our schedule is easy, there are teams that look better offensively coming up, namely both sac state and Idaho. I suggest watching Sac states game vs SUU last weekend, and while I know it’s SUU, they still have a much better offense right now than ours. Defensively we have far and away the better team, just not sure what our offense is going to do week to week at this point. My hope is that KB starts putting things together, cleans up his fumble issues amd has a great game this weekend, but I’m certainly weary of Sac at this point.

not mine. We will get players back by the time the brawl rolls around. KB will be slinging long balls to Sammy and Roberts and don't be surprised if another running back emerges. Not sure why people are so worried about KB cleaning up the fumbles he probably won't have another there rest of the season.

I am not sure what to think of the Cats. Too many easy home games. The two on the road are tough to gauge. PSU they looked really flat and we’re by no means a dominant team. Wyoming on the road - they lost. Close game and the first of the year, hard to tell much. I don’t think I would be coming onto a rivals board talking smack when your own team hasn’t really proven themselves. Especially when so many teams have injuries this year. Cats have avoided that (I hope it stays that way. I hate seeing kids get injured). but the season is long and there are a lot of games remaining. Many variables to play out and come Griz/Can’t Brown may be very comfortable and players could be healthy. (Or CH could be back). Time will tell. Moral of the story, don’t be a dolt and come onto your rivals board talking smack. You end up looking like the 13 year old booger picker that you are.

Also weird that the Cats are ranked 9th and the Griz 5th. Apparently you see something that the pollsters don’t? OR you are an imbecile.

After watching the Griz offense this year I don’t think it is possible for them to score 14 against the Cats. MSU has the best defense in the league and 2nd best offense. Something needs to change if the Griz want to keep it close in the brawl this year.

Of course you are right. Cats are always preseason No 1.

Don't hold your breath on that.

6-8 weeks (in some cases as short as 4) is typical with his injury and even if he is back would he be sharp enough compared to KB who by then should be doing very well...of course KB could be hurt by then too so always have to be ready for next man up..
