Had fun with this one. Kyle joins us to talk The Last Dance, Griz hoops, Lady Griz, the NFL draft, Dante, and Grizzly football.

We also discuss the finer things such as the Frozen 2 soundtrack and why Shelby is the Paris of the Hi-Line.

Look for Montana Mint Sports on most all podcast apps or you can find it here:

Pick one:

1. You have a popular podcast that takes listener questions to form a bond with the listeners through interaction, listener base grows, and the sky is the limit.;

OR

2. You have a now-popular podcast, but due to the lack of listener interaction, you end up living in Terra Haute, Indiana (in the “bad” part of town). And the Griz cancel the program. And UM shuts down, blaming you.

Good Pod guys. I really enjoyed the end when you discussed the rise and changes of the program and environment since the 90s. I also grew up with those 90's teams and was at the first home playoff victory in 89, the first SDSU comeback and went to school in 97-99 which actually consisted of 3 straight first round playoff exits. I feel fortunate to have watched the rise and success of the program during that time and also followed closely while living out of state during the 2000s as well getting back to a couple games per year.

That was a great era and we will see if Bobby can get it back going again. Unfortunately, the environment of fans and travel will continue to decrease unfortunately due to societal trends, especially now with Covid. So many fans are similar to my parents who are season ticket holders in their 70s and have many years making the drive down from the Flathead for most every home game. The leading cause of UM losing season ticket holders right now? Death. Scary but true.

Is there a book on the past 35 years? There should be, or maybe a documentary. I personally still remember the buzz around town in August was when Drew Miller transferred and also the following year when Joe Glenn was hired. 2 Titles and so many wins and good memories with the fight song sung gloriously after the game. The Streak was a thing of beauty, but it ended and now while the program is looking to be on an upward trend, the 86-09 run will never be repeated. Montana Grizzly fans don't know how good they had it.

Several good ones Kodiak but my favorite is Mick Holien's book. <biased>
