their performance was one of the best parts of the game. which brings up the question, anybody know how knight's situation is these days?

More importantly, any word on Harris? I’d assume it’s a muscle issue. Looked like a hammy when it happened but then a calf as he hobbled back.

Harris is an ankle issue, just a tweak from what I saw in front of me.

Ostmo should be back in October.

Bergen’s first Run looked smooth like butter.

Child’s started settling in nicely too.

yeah, it looked like a muscle pull or something to me. didn't see his ankle twist, but strange stuff happens.

Harris and Childs looked really good against a top FBS defense. Knight is preparing for 2022 as stated several times. And none of these guys were recruited by Stitt....

Even better the O-line was opening holes that any back can run through.
There were a couple plays that the RB speed and ability to wiggle through small crack in defense.
Long season and sure several players will get some reps

Was thinking the same thing. Mentioned to my wife "Damn, I could run through these holes."

this is true. also, the wr's were out there blocking great, too, which is something that hauck's teams tend to do well at.

My favorite memory of game was after first Griz drive
Germer going off getting O-line focused which involved the throwing of his headset and some spit flying to get their attention
The players responded well and the one thing that crossed my mind was how well the young men responded and how different many in their age group would shut down under such pressure.
After that a few series later Beaver was throwing his helmet and the Cook was starting to have fun.
They just were so engaged and it was cool to see.
They were a close knit group and the moment wasn’t too big for them.
Things are looking good that this team is being lead by a great bunch of coaches and are responding well.

The backs were great but the OL was like a Michelangelo masterpiece.
A pulling Mayginnes. What a surprising gem. That play was money and he’s a total beast.
My guess is Mallory didn’t fit the game plan. Neither did Pillans. Just a hunch.
Go back and watch the 3rd-n-12 Childs converted. The push our OL gets is so fucking unreal. Against a ranked FBS, late in the game, when they needed it most. All 4 UW DLs got their fucking doors blown off

That play stuck out to me as well. Childs was 5 yards deep before ANYONE touched him. That push was one for the record books…

It sure impressed one UW fan. There was a great comment about it on their fan forum: “An FCS team just ran up the middle on us for a first down … on 3rd and 12. JFC.”

that was one heck of a play. what was childs, fourth on the depth chart? it seems like brint and some others thought rb was a question mark. it doesn't seem like it at this point, but strange stuff happens in football.

It was the first running play all night that resembled misdirection.
