36 + 1 =

I heard from a credible source that he is split on his decision. As a solution that will make everyone happy, he will be giving the number 3 to Caleb Kidder and the number 7 to Derek Crittenden.

Who will it be? Haven't seen any threads on this yet.

I was wondering also, but I am more of an avid reader and not much of a poster...I was really hoping someone would ask the question....

Coaltar Nunnetz is reporting that "36+1" will be awarded to a kicker. It's about time special teams got some love!

It's showtime for the OL - time to step up - John Schmaing

can a OL have a number not between 50-79?
In the NFL the OL must be in the 50-79 range but in the NCAA it is only a recommendation so in theory anyone on the team could be #37. The current choice seems like the right guy to me.

Heard it was going to be Monte.

This is correct. I just got off the phone with Monte, and although his sign language was a little hard to decipher, I made him repeat everything twice. It seems what he really wanted was the number "007", but it wouldn't fit on his jersey. Then his idea was to go with "87," which if you imagine the "8" sideways, its really "007". But Chris Lider has this sewn up for another year, so the thinking cap went back on. It's then he realized "37" is a lot like "87", and if you imagine the "3" turned sideways, it looks like "boob boob 7". Best of all worlds. Four "0"s instead of two. When he approached Wags with his idea, Wags laughed so hard most of his hair fell off, and his ankle, well lets just say there's another story on that. In any event, with quid pro quo firmly in hand, Monte gets "37", and Wags gets his side of the story.
