Time for this weeks preview of Eastern. It’s safe to say the golden era of Eastern Football is long gone and they are now a perennial cellar dweller. Quite the fall from grace with all the blame falling on one man’s shoulders, and they’re hopelessly stuck with him for the next 4 years. Let’s dive in!
August 30 @ Incarnate Word - L. Man would this have been a fun game 5 years ago. Now they’re gonna get rolled. Cards win big in this one!
September 6 @ Boise State - L. The Broncos won’t be as good as they were last year, but this is still not gonna go well.
September 13 @ Northern Iowa - L. Two teams that have really had quite the fall from grace. Luckily UNI was able to do something about it and made a coaching change. Could be a close game but I favor UNI at home.
September 20 vs. Western Illinois - W. The Leathernecks are not good. Eastern will be fine in this one.
September 27 @ Montana State - L. Gods speed. This should be ugly.
October 4 vs. Portland State - W. 50-50 game but tie goes to the home team.
October 11 BYE
October 18 vs. Idaho - L. Vandys win no problem.
October 25 @ Weber State - L. I’m gonna say Weber wins this one but only because they’re at home.
November 1 vs. Sacramento State - L. Another beat down on the red rug.
November 8 @ Montana - L. Not gonna be a fun bus ride home for the Eags.
November 15 vs. Northern Colorado - W. They won this game easily in Greeley last year, so they shouldn’t have any problems at home this year.
November 22 @ Cal Poly - L. I predicted last week that Poly would win this game so I’ll stick with that.

I got Eastern going 3-9. Who could’ve ever predicted this 5 years ago. Until they get rid of Aaron Best, this is what they’re gonna be stuck with. They need to find some booster that will pay his buyout and oust him as soon as possible, or there may be no saving this program. That’s my prediction. Thoughts?
