Putting this out tonight cause tomorrow we’re gonna recap the athletics year for the Griz. Cal Poly has seemingly been stuck in neutral this entire decade. Feels like a year where we need to see some progress from them this year or they need to consider making whole sale changes to the program. Let’s dive in!
August 30 @ San Diego - W. This is a game the Stangs need to have this year. They dropped this game in San Diego last year. Gotta have it this year and I’ll believe in them to win it.
September 6 @ Utah - L. Did Cam Rising finally graduate? lol, no chance in this one.
September 13 vs. Western Oregon -W. Another opponent they faced last year. They didn’t play very well against the Wolves but they did get the win. This needs to be a more convincing win for them. They get it done at home.
September 20 @ Stephen F. Austin - L. This will be an interesting measuring stick game for Poly. They’re likely gonna lose, but can they keep it close? I’m skeptical, but we’ll see.
September 27 @ Sacramento State - L. Man would I love for them to win this game. Won’t happen though.
October 4 vs. UC Davis - L. Davis won’t be as good as they were last year, but Poly will probably still lose this game convincingly.
October 11 @ Montana - L. Last time Poly came to Missoula, they got a snow globe game. I’m sure they’re gonna enjoy having nicer weather this time around lol

October 25 vs. Montana State - L. Man is that a brutal opening 4 games to league play. I feel like Cal Poly always gets the short end of the stick with the schedule.
November 1 vs. Portland State - W. This is one they gotta have. I think Barney’s crew is gonna be in for a rough one this year and getting the Viks at home is a prime opportunity for a win. I’ll give Poly the benefit of the doubt.
November 8 @ Idaho State - L. I tend to think ISU is gonna be sneaky this year. This one won’t go well.
November 15 @ Northern Arizona - L. Boy they get all the tough teams this year. Bad break for Poly.
November 22 vs. Eastern Washington - W. Another one they gotta have. Best is in way over his head. He shouldn’t have a job anymore, and as we’ve seen the last few years, the team seems to mentally check out on him. Poly gets it done at home.

I got Cal Poly going 4-8. Is that generous? Perhaps, but we gotta see progress this year. Another tough schedule for Poly pretty much puts their ceiling at 4 wins. That’s my prediction. Thoughts????
