Sorry I wasn't able to get this up yesterday. I had a really hectic day at work yesterday and didn't have time. It is now August, Fall camp starts on Monday, and the season is right around the corner. Today we got UC Davis, and then we'll close with Weber next week. I feel like UC Davis is the most unpredictable team in the conference. I just can't get a very good read on them. Offensively, it's gonna come down to who the QB is. Hunter Rodrigues is gone, and I have no idea who the starting QB will be. I know this, with Ulonzo Gilliam
(The Big Sky Preseason MVP) back for his Senior season, if they have a decent QB, they got a chance to be pretty prolific on offense. Defensively, they should be decent but I think they're gonna have to put it in another gear if they wanna contend for the conference. With that, let's dive in:

September 3 @ CAL - L. Last year, I predicted UC Davis would beat Tulsa (and I was right), and while I really wanna pull the trigger on this one and say that Davis wins this game, I'm not going to. I need to see what Davis has at QB before I jump on this one. I do however think this is gonna be a close game that could go either way. The Golden Bears are not very good, and they may end up being the worst team in the PAC 12 this season. For now, I'm gonna go with CAL, but I will say it right now, do not be surprised if UC Davis wins this game.

September 10 @ South Dakota State - L. A re-match of last years FCS Playoffs first round game where Davis just limped into this one with a lot of injuries, and just got steam rolled. Last year, they lost this game 56-24 in the playoffs, and I will bet my life savings on a better performance by the Aggies this year. However, I think SDSU is the one other team that I could see winning the natty besides NDSU (I do think we can put the Griz in this conversation, but I need to see a couple things in Fall camp first). Davis' only hope in this one is that SDSU gets steam rolled by Iowa the week before, and they catch some breaks. Jacks win by 10+.

September 17 vs. San Diego - W. The Toreros have lost their luster as top dog in the Pioneer League, and the team that used to be able to pull out upsets against Big Sky teams. Davis wins big at home.

September 24 vs. Weber State - W. Davis beat Weber last season in Ogden, and I see no reason why they can't beat them in Davis this season. I think Gilliam has a huge day in this game, and the Aggies win by 10+.

October 1 @ Montana State - L. This has the potential to be a really big game for UC Davis. Prime time on ESPN, and with a loss, they could very well drop to 3-3 or 2-4 and have their backs against the wall. There is not a single player or coach on this Davis team that has been to Bozeman before. Their last trip to Bozeman was in 2016. I do think they can win this game, but it feels like the odds are stacked against them in this one. I gotta take the cats at home.

October 8 BYE. Things will get much easier for them after the bye week.

October 15 vs. Northern Arizona - W. This is a 50-50 game. If NAU's defense can contain Gilliam, then I think NAU can win this game, but I'll take Davis at home in a close one.

October 22 @ Northern Colorado - W. Should be just fine in this one.

October 29 vs. Cal Poly - W. The Battle for the Golden Horseshoe will likely be a blowout this season. Ags roll.

November 5 vs. Idaho State - W. IDK why but ISU has always played Davis really tough. Their last few contests against each other have been very good games, but I do not see history repeating itself in this one. Davis wins big at home in this one.

November 12 @ Idaho - W. Another game that I think could be tricky, but I think they'll pull out. They can't afford to drop this one.

November 19 @ Sacramento State - L. I just don't see them winning at Sac this year. Sac State could very well be going for the conference title in this one, so the stakes will be high for them in this one.

--------------------------------------------------

I have UC Davis going 7-4, but I could very well see them going anywhere between 10-1 and 4-7. That's how tough of a time I have getting a read on them. I think they will most likely be a bubble playoff team. I can't see them being one of the top dogs in the Big Sky this year, but I do think they're capable of getting into the playoffs. We'll just have to see how it all plays out. That's my prediction. Thoughts????

I agree with you on most of these teams and your projections. On this one I think they will have the record you predict, but I think they will beat Sac State and lose to Weber. We shall see.
