I know we are still alive this season in the Big Sky Tournament, and this post may be pre-mature until the season is over, but I would appreciate any comments about the bigs on our team for next season. I have only watched the streaming of games, so I know nothing about any bigs who may be red-shirting. The topic of why we can't seem to recruit quality bigs has been discussed ad nauseam. So, no need to re-visit that.
But, please give me your view on whether we have any bigs already in the program who could fill that need we have at the 4 and 5 positions.
I know this should be obvious, but if Travis can get at least one (two would be better) big from the transfer portal, I think we would be loaded for bear (no pun intended) next season. We need some beef, who can rebound, play defense against the conference bigs, and clog the lane for penetration. This player does not have to be an offensive force, because we have more than enough offensive fire-power already.
I love the way Anderson is developing, despite his penchant for fouling, which hopefully will improve with experience. But we are deep there, and a couple of beefy ballers would make this team a force to be reckoned with. Any comments would be appreciated.
