2017 Schedule

Why do you guys do this to yourselves?? 9-2? Short memories?

VP - Who knows
UW - BRUTAL LOSS
SS - Who knows
EWU - Thumped you last year and will do it again
PSU - who knows
ISU - who knows.... they did put up 44 points on you last year
UND - probably a loss. You lost to CP and UND is better
Weber - Tough game
NAU - Beat you last year, probably will again
UNC - Beat you last year, might again
MSU - Beat you last year, probably will again

Says a poster from the land of butterflies and rainbows where 99% of you predicted 8-9 win season under your first year coach. Ha!

Just curious. What's the over/under on Washington remaining on the schedule?

It's locked. Washington's AD has said publicly they're not seeking to buy the Griz game out, especially not for $950,000

Ever the optimist, I'll take a crack at it. There are quite a bit of unknowns going into this year, but my analysis so far has us around 8-9 wins. New DT Shaw will be huge for us.

Valparaiso Win
@Washington Loss
Savannah State Win
Eastern Washington Toss-Up
@Portland State Win
@Idaho State Win
North Dakota Toss-Up
@Weber State Win
Northern Arizona Toss-Up
Northern Colorado Win
@Montana State Win

I could see us anywhere from 10-1 to 8-3. We have one of the easiest road schedules we've had in a long time, and I think home field will be the difference in turning some of those Ls into Ws from last year.

Of course, if Stitt is as awful as some people say, another 6-5 record is possible.

Also announced a home-and-home with Western Illinois
Time to load up on Kirkland brand D batteries Bigdog!

You know it. Will be doing the Costco, always Costco Griz tailgate @ the Lakeside store. The Macomb dog park was booked Friday night or we could have done a bonfire pep rally.

The only unknown @ this point is if I'll have peach vodka to pour as I'm looking @ the majestic sites in and around Macomb. Not sure if a much-publicized internet outage in Idaho will have a bearing on this or not. I've contacted Zberg and have assurances that the Facebook* blimp might be able to be diverted there to ease tensions & provide a satellite internet hookup for the parties affected.

* would have used the proper trademark notes here, but I'm waiting in-line for gas @ Costco, always Costco and I'm up.

Too many unknowns at this point but if things were static this is where I would put the Griz. Most Likely 6-5. With all the young unkowns though they could blow this out of the water or do even wors

I got you covered Bigdog! I've been saving peach pits for the past year or so. As soon as Spring hits they're going in the ground. I expect peaches by July! This farming thing isn't rocket science.

Ok George, I'm back to planning my Griz game/Chambers Bay golf vacay. :clap:

Haslam is doing his job. The coaching staff has a lot to prove for 2017 to be a successful season considering the negative trajectory as the 2016 season progressed. Opposing coaches have figured Stitt/Semore out; we will see if they can/will adjust.

They have nothing to prove and the support from the AD is there. Who is going to push to fire them in 2017. The new president of the interim? 2017 will probably be a mediocre year and then 2018 they will be strong. The only thing the coaches have to prove for 2016 and 2017!has already been proven. Can they recruit. Hell yes. There is no way BS is getting canned in 2017. Maybe 2018 if he struggles. Put down the friggin pipe dude. Proving something to fans is nothing when the AD has your back. The boosters may bitch, but they are not going to pull their dollars. The program is headed in the right direction despite 2016! Lumps, bumps, bruises. Yep. That is what happens when a program turns into a train wreck. Yep a damn train wreck. A train wreck Stitt did not create. Reality sucks and losing seasons are painful, but deal with it. The program will recover and Stitt will be a big part of it. He already is. Check out the recruiting. The o and d lines will make all the difference. Sorry if I sound pissed. Great news and recruiting and spoiled fans keep bitching. I get it during the season, but holy hell give it a rest.

Happ, enjoy Chambers. I've played it. It's an incredible course, minus the no carts lol. But I got through it, albeit with a pretty shitty score. But it's an amazing place, and I can't think of a better combo than a Griz game in Husky Stadium and a round at Chambers Bay.
