2014 Griz Football Recruiting (10 Signed /15 Formal admission)

In November, running back Manu Rasmussen committed to Eastern Washington, although coach Craig Ruecker said Rasmussen took a visit to Montana in January.

Is Max Richmond a scholarship kid? or a walk on? Wide receiver?
Atleast a partial....maybe a full. I know we have been after him hard recently. He looks like he prefers udub and I think he has an offer of some sort from them

Ill be surprised If AJ shows up here. Manu is actually a possible get from what I hear. He is not 100% on ewu and AJ I just think wants to play fbs so bad that he will walk on to Iowa or bsu. Iowa wants him as a walk on. I am not sure he wants to drop to fcs. If he does I would guess he lands at psu close to home

If I had a choice of Udub ( i am guessing a partial at best or a walk on) or U of M, and i am guessing he would be a partial, maybe even a walk on,not a full scholly kid, How could you
pass up an opportunity to play for a Pac 12 team ? with the depth we have at reciever, it could
be 3 years before he would get a legit chance to play, hate to say it, but I would be a Huskie, thoughts?

FBS teams dont offer partials. They are all or nuttin with regard to scholarships
That's not true.

I am pretty sure it is true. I don't believe the NCAA allows FBS schools to do partials. Only FCS and below can do that.

I have to admit it has been very difficult to stay positive with the somewhat lackluster recruiting news we have been receiving. Really hope a nice surprise comes our way next week! We have a few good gets but......

That is correct. They cannot split schollies at the FBS level.

NCAA DI FBS (Football Bowl Series)
This is the top level of college football. These programs have 85 scholarships and all scholarships are full-rides; there are no partial scholarships at this level. Every year a coach can hand out up to 25 new scholarships, not including the scholarships they might take from a current player and give to another.

NCAA DI FCS (Football Championship Series)
This is the second level of college football, formally known as DI-AA. These programs have 63 scholarships per team and can divide their scholarships up and give partial scholarships.

Why I love this board......after someone says a fact about recruiting. Three people follow it with the same exact information.
