2014 Griz Football Recruiting (10 Signed /15 Formal admission)

Hmmmm, Bozeman, the fog of Pismo most of the winter, or winning football games in Missoula? Alex, I'll take the storied program at Montana for $10,000.

I'd take Pismo over Bozeman too. And there is no $10,000. Silly grizzly.

Disappointed to lose Ross, especially to a Big Sky rival, but NOT surprised. Slo Stang might think differently right now because of the euphoria of stealing a kid from the Griz, but I will bet the farm Ross doesn't beat out Dano Graves for the job over the next two seasons, meaning even with a RS year, Kia won't even sniff the starting job until the 2016 season. Graves is the REAL DEAL for Cal Poly's offense and no one is unseating him. If Ross is willing to wait his turn, that's good for CP. I have my doubts though.

Depends on his educational goals. He will get a first class education at Cal Poly. SLO has a lot of foggy days with the marine layer, but they don't have hellgate winds and below zero wind chill. Good for him. He made a choice that was best for him.

Whatever! We lost out on a recruit who chose a different school. He wants to play QB we need a defensive back so...... We will probably bring in around 10-12 kids. The coaching staff knows the needs and will recruit them accordingly. IMO if we can recruit 2-3 O-lineman, a legitimate middle backer,a safety, and now(since Ginn left) a defensive tackle all is well. I'm not going to concern myself with what we don't have but with what we end up with. 2014 will be a good year for Griz Football.

Oh, I'm not questioning his decision to go to Slo over the Griz. Once he decommitted, I was resigned to the fact he was never going to sign with UM. I'm simply stating he won't knock Dano Graves out of the starting QB job. Out of all the QB's who rolled through Wash-Griz this season, I was just as impressed with Graves as I was by VA and CCU's QB.

When it's all said and done how many recruits will Delaney and co. end up with. Currently we have 6 verbals I'm thinking we will end up with 12. :thumb:

Speaking of DB...and more precisely, safety...where the f... are the prospects. Hermey played better last year, but we need a deep roster now with shoota etc. ??? :egriz:

For what it is worth. UM offer Conner Cain has flipped from EWU to Wyo

From Cheney to Laramie. I'd call that a move up. And there's not many towns below Laramie on the "shit" list. 8-) 8-)

Evan is a beast!!!

On a different note what would help us more then any kid we could recruit right now is to have out weak ass president file the paperwork to get our 4 schollies back.

Well since the scholarship reduction was our recommendation as were the vast majority of penalties, I really doubt we are going to see President Engstrom or the Athletic Department petitioning to the appeals committee to commute the sentence. There are a million reasons for this, but it is hard to go back and say to the NCAA "Hey we over penalized ourselves, and in the current specter of other punishments, we would like a do over."
