Let's hope you are correct about the OL FBS transfers.

Lets hope so. But you would think if they were transfers that were committed to coming here they would be announced already.

I don't know when classes start, but FBS transfers cannot be commented on by coaches until they are enrolled in school.
class starts jan 27. lotsa time for mick to work his magic.

Many of our best recruits come the last couple days when they are abandoned by the FCS schools. I don't think it is wise to burn all schollies too early in the process.
Recruits that are abandoned by FCS schools do not inspire me.

I hope he meant FBS

Is it time to start smashing the panic button yet?

No but it is time to stop underestimating this staff's recruiting abilities. On signing day we will see that they have done a fine job of filling their needs.

 No I can't say that I did. He marches to the tune of a whole different band. We are definitely on a different wavelength and I am thankful for that.

This panic stuff is ridiculous. Some people apparently think that egriz has all the facts about recruiting. The coaches can't talk about their recruits. Delaney was quoted at least two weeks ago in Butte that they had exhausted all of their available scholarships through commitments. So stay tuned.

We've seen a lot of unexpected bolts fall off the Griz mothership lately. These reassurances sound eerily similar to Baghdad Bob's.....Hope you are right.

he's not

Thoughts:

-This has been a very difficult recruiting season. The limited number of scholorships and info has been hard to come by.

_It has also been hinted that the griz recruiting is done... I don t believe it for a minute. Coaches always leave 2-3 schollies available for late aditions and spring transfers,

-I truly hope one of the OL that have been hinted at and not yet listed is the kid from Bellview. He has offers from many bigger schools yet is still available... teammate influence?

-Looks like Friday is the next recuiting window...
01.13 - 01.16 Dead Period (except for below)
Institutional staff members may have contact with a prospective student-athlete who has been admitted for midyear enrollment, provided the prospective student-athlete has signed a National Letter of Intent or other offer of admission and/or financial aid to attend the institution and is required to be on campus to attend institutional orientation sessions for all students
02.02 Quiet Period
02.03 - 02.06 Dead Period

Have heard that

DL- Evan Defer, Damonte Ranch (Reno, NV) 6-2 225 Sr.
104 tackles, 11 sacks

Will be at UM this weekend.

Huntington Beach quarterback/defensive back Kai Ross, The Register's 2013 offensive player of the year, has committed to Cal Poly SLO, the senior said moments ago in a text message.

The FCS school has been recruiting Ross (6-3, 190) to play quarterback.

Ross earlier de-committed from Montana, which recruited him at safety.

My sense about the situation, is that if you listen to things:

a: The Ross kid seems to have his head screwed on straight, so I wouldn't fault the kid.
b: I think he wanted to play quarterback, and his style probably didn't necessarily fit our system, so thusly we recruited him as a Safety.

Best of luck to the kid, I really was impressed with what the kid did on the field. Poly got themselves a great asset for the next four/five years. Here hoping the kid has success and secondly he doesn't have any against us.
