2014 Griz Football Recruiting (10 Signed /15 Formal admission)

Daum seems like a very possible grab for the griz but Cook is obviously very unlikely he has bigger and better dreams that seems unrealistic but then again who knows

What are the chances Arie Grey pushes these kids to the Cats?

About as high as grady bennett, tony arnston, lebsock, klaboe....etc. pushing kids to um.

That would be shocking, to me, if they ended up as cats. Because Butte players, of FCS caliber, have almost always gone to the Griz (over the past 30 years).

All I know is, my favorite college team is going to be wherever Dalton Daum goes, because he's a "beast" (as Bozeman CBS sports anchor Bobby Oler called him last thursday night, on-air).

Here's a young player to watch...

Soph Balue Chapman is a starting DE, opposite FBS recruit Will Dissley, for the #1 team in the state, Bozeman. That's pretty impressive, but there's more...he is currently filling in at RB for the injured Hunter Gappmayer (AA leading rusher), and he rushed for a little shy of 200 yards, 3 TDs and 1 rec TD last week in his first RB start. But what really caught my eyes was last year, where he not only suited up varsity as FR, but started on the kickoff cover team as a FR for the state runner-up Hawks. He's fast...one to keep an eye on...

Balue is one to watch, for sure. Phenomenal athlete. Take him off your radar. He will never be a Griz.

I know him fairly well. I wouldn't say he will "never" be a griz but it will be an uphill climb for you guys. Lives in a die hard cat family, and is a bobcat fan. But hey so was Brock Coyle so that turned out ok for you guys! Sure good to see him in a bobcat uniform in a few years! :thumb:

While recent history may have Butte players going to the Griz, all I'm saying is that having a pro-Cats HC could change things. It was just a thought, that is all.

Oh, and if Daum goes to Bozeman, do the Cats become your favorite team?

:thumb: I understood what you were possibly thinking, and the thought is noteworthy.

 Welllllllll...no. Let me backtrack, the Griz will always be my favorite team. But Daum will be my favorite college player, regardless where he goes. :D

GO GRIZ :egriz:

The cats had a couple BHS kids on recruiting visits this past weekend. On the msu sideline for the UC Davis game was QB Dallas Cook and ...

Also on the sideline was last years cat All-American Zach Minter (current DL for the Chicago Bears). Cook appeared bigger than Minter.

That's good to hear. I've heard of him before and was hoping that the Griz were recruiting him. By the way, there's also a 6'5" 280 (6'6" 275 according to ESPN) OT out of Springfield, Oregon that has an interest in playing for the Griz as well but I don't think that he's been offered yet < http://hsoregon.scout.com/a.z?s=201&p=8&c=1&nid=7115710" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I don't think he's related to the Jacob Haas the Griz had as a TE last year because he was out of Portland.
