2014 Griz Football Recruiting (10 Signed /15 Formal admission)

Heard CMR defensive end Alex Thomas gave the Griz his verbal commitment Saturday night

I heard this as well from someone who goes to CMR with him. No other proof other than that. He is a very good athlete. An excellent athlete. At times he relies on his athletic ability and does not have great technique yet and his work ethic can be lax because he is so darn better athletically than everyone else.

Here is proof from the GF Turbine:

Thanks... Added

i was impressed with Alex Thomas when he and his Rustlers came to town to play BHS in the state semi-finals this past season. The kid is fast, and flat-out gets after it (hard hitter). He's listed as a state of Montana Blue-Chip recruit. THIS IS A GREAT GRIZ VERBAL.

From Colter Nuanez, recruiting guru: http://bobcatnation.com/node/342" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

(I'm totally speculating, but I wonder if Alex watched the Griz kick the tar out of the boys from the tar heel state...if that exciting/dominating game was a factor? THE GRIZ ARE BACK. Just a hunch, but I bet it was.)

He was in attendance for the game Saturday night. That was when he gave his verbal. They interviewed him on the news in Great Falls and he stated he loved the griz. He loved the players, the coach, and the environment. He stated the griz showed him the most love over the past year.

I heard that alex was going to play O-line today because some of them go hurt. Wonder how that's going to play out. :|

Ouch. Nice to see a team player like that. CMR lost the nucleus of a great O-line to graduation. Lost a stunner to Sentinel last week after being up 21-0. Play a tough glacier team today that will probably throw it all over the field on CMR. CMR's Achilles heel the past few years has been the secondary(sound familiar?). Their quarterback (McLean) is talented, but tends to force things and ends up with a few WTF interceptions a game. Gonna be a long year for CMR I am afraid.

As a GFH fan that's good news but as a football fan it stinks I feel for them hopefully they win tonight, but as you said it's going to be a long season for cmr.

After a THREE HOUR Lightning and rain delay, a game that ended at 1:15 this morning, Glacier beat CMR 20-14.

Thats three straight times Glacier has beaten CMR in Great Falls... has any other team EVER done that?

Alex got a sack in that game, at least that's good.

Gotta love the fact that he loves GRIZ NATION (players, coach, fans). :dance:

When you love something, you fight hard for it.
