Looks like we are focusing on recruiting undersized white guys this year.

It's pretty obvious that Pat Williams & Engstrom have "Laid down the Law" to Haslem and Delaney when it comes to the recruitment of Thugs and trouble makers....they seem like they want to put an end of that pipeline that was so carefully nutured by Hauck....hence a "Paler" version of the Griz. circa 2014 is emerging....another added benefit is that the In-State walkons will never see the field but will bump up the team's dismal GPA to get the NCAA off UM's ass.

Ok, Ok. Enough. The great thing about growing up in Bozeman in the 80"s was? You meet new people who came to town to play ball. Football, basketball. New brothers from somewhere different. If your not a racist, they became your friend. Some were cool, some were clowns. The clown washed themselves out of the program. Out of the Program. But, like anything, it takes time. Coaches don't know at first. But, then the player gets fired for being a f*** up. It happens. Out of the program. I have eight fingers and two thumbs. I can count on all my little piggies from hands and feet who are my best friends from the 80's & 90's who are still my best friends. Yep, so called "thugs." Thug's? Really? Have you walked in they're shoes? Out of state players come here to get a free education. Ball is the only way some can get that next step forward. But even the best of people get pushed to defend themselves against local haters. So the next time you want to call some brother a thug, go to Compton, Oakland, Washington D.C., Baltimore and ride a bus for five years. Find out what it's like to be out numbered. I'll give you a three month bus pass before you're head back to Montana. Thug? Shit.....

If not for several key player injuries during the 2013 season, Lakes could've easily been in the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) championship game against the Bellevue Wolverines and Caleb Lyons would be recruited by NCAA Division l programs like Washington State U, U of Hawaii, U of Wyoming, U of Colorado, U of Utah, Colorado State U and others.

If he commits to U of Montana, you're getting a steal.

Interesting... he was a team captian and has no offers, lost in the shuffle?

His D numbers look great. 15 tackles per game and nearly a sack per game.

I have to be honest here, I am not liking what I am hearing with recruiting. I feel like last year we did a lot better. I am not sure if this year there is a lack of information, but this class besides one or two recruits do not have me that excited for the future. Hoping we can steal a 2 or 3 star level recruit by signing day, and we hear some good news today on a transfer or two.
