And here is Ryan Mckinley's highlights. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z25Y4Z2aPR4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; looks very good also.

According to his Scout.com page he's narrowed down his list to three schools...and is taking three visits: UM (already done), NAU (1/11) and NDSU (1/18).

Kid's in a no lose position.

According to ESPN the griz have offered OLB Leon Jacobs; Santa Clarita, CA 6'3" 215
Also has 3 other FCS offers and 6 FBS offers

He's headed to Fresno State. Would have been a good one to get though.

He has decommitted from Fresno. Perhaps he read this board's shining reviews on the Fresno lifestyle.

Anyone know how many scholarships Montana had compared to msu to start with?
No idea on the number of scholarships but MD said in a Missoulian article that he wanted to sign around 15 players...

Right now, UM has 12 non-binding verbals, but may have only used up as little as 9 schlorships. UM has at least 13 schollies to give out, with 12 seniors and 1 transfer. Then there is the issue of JJ, is his available? and what other players are moving on to other schools? We might be surprised to find that UM has as many as 17-18 to give out...

QB Makena Simis 6'2" 185 (Capital HS) Boise, ID
RB- Travon Van 5'11" 210 (Transfer from Marshall/Florida) (4 star RB out of HS)
RB-Treshawn "Tre" Favors 5'10" 180 (Mountain Ridge HS) Glendale,AZ
RB- John Nguyen 5'7" 187 (Bellevue HS) Bellevue, WA
RB/Ret Ari Morales 5'8" 165 (Bellevue HS) Bellevue, WA (Prefered Walk-on)
WR- Marq Rogers 6'4" 200 (Fort Wayne Corcordia HS) Fort Wayne, IN
WR/S- Mick Delaney 6'0" 185 (Bozeman HS) Bozeman, MT (Partial)
WR-Josh Janssen 6'0" 185 (Loyola HS) Missoula, MT
WR/CB/K- Nico Graham 5' 11" 185 (Big Sky HS) Missoula, MT (Partial?)
CB/Ret- Chris Parker 6'0" 185 (Washington HS) Sioux Falls, S.D.
CB/WR- Marqin Russell 6' 0" 185 (Lakes HS) Lakewood, WA (2 Star)
LB- Tucker Schye 6'3" 245 (Malta HS) Malta, MT (Partial?)

I couldn't find it right now, but there was a nice article in the Missoulian regarding Nico's commit to the griz. I'm thinking it ran sometime in October. In the story he confirms that he got a partial scholarship.

John Nguyen has an updated highlight video for the entire 2012 season. I like the mixture of backs that the coaching staff has brought in the last 2 years. John does not like to be tackled and isn't a fan of running out of bounds, hard runner with good moves, decent speed.

UM had 12 seniors...
msu had 17

But there are many things that go into the amount of signies coming in Feb.

1- FCS can be split into partial scholorships. So 65 schollies can be divided between 85 players.
2- How many underclass scholorshiped players will move elsewhere? IE like UM's TE Hayden Craig.
3- How many players will be given schollys that did not have them this year? Ari Morales is a walk-on but I find it hard to believe he will not "earn" a scholly.
4- How many players will have thier schollies lifted? Sad to say but scholorships are only 1 year deals and can be revolked at the end of any year. Though coaches don't usually make this a habit, if a need is there and a player is not preforming, it does happen.

My best guess is that UM's Recruiting class will be somewhere between 14-18, msu 19-21. But I have heard that the walk-on group will be large for both schools.

As of right now, technically Ari Morales is a walk-on. However in reality he is a scholarship player. I'll elaborate...it has already been determined that he will recieve his scholarship a month after he arrives in Missoula.

Nice! I cannot wait to see this kid in Griz gear

You guys about killed us with your running back in Boone this past September. I bet I could have hit him head on with my pick up and he wouldn't gone down. Unbelieveable.

Unfortunately later in the year if you hit him with a pillow he would put the ball on the ground. He was fun to watch when healthy but he wasn't healthy all that much.

What is the status on the Horner kid from CMR?

I don't know, but the griz should do what they need to to get this kid. Saw him last night in the crosstown game in Great Falls. He is physically ready right now. He is all of 6'4"-6'5". He obviously knows his way around the weight room. He got in early foul trouble last night, but was obvioulsy a difference maker. Slipped behind the zone on a ball reverse and did a one power dribble two handed dunk. I still can't get a read on his speed, but he is an athlete, and I could see him as a phenomenal tight end. Depending on his speed, even a receiver. Maybe even defensive end. I was super impressed with his athleticism.

From what i heard is that he is looking for the best offer. Since Brekke has decommited he is asking for a little more money. If he were to sign with the griz it would be WR or DE

Again, I don't know how fast he is, but he appears plenty fast enough. He is physically developed enough to play receiver next year. I look at him as a more athletic taller Bagley.

Why not TE?
