Maybe the Cats pulled the offer with the signing of McQueary. IDK. He's a beast though and would be a huge get for the Griz, especially since they didn't get the other safety/athlete they really wanted in McQueary.

I like what I see in this young QB!
Just looked up Simis' 2012 final stats in the Idaho Statesman and he had a great season.

Montana landed the 6-foot-2,
200-pound senior in June, and
he finished his senior season in
style. Simis completed
180-of-263
passes for 2,240
yards, 24 TDs and
seven interceptions.
He also
added 535 rushing
yards and eight more TDs. “A
fierce competitor,” Mountain
View coach Judd Benedick said.
Watch the offense that Capital High of Boise runs. It is very much the same as we ran with Robin here. This kid is the coaches son and is pretty football smart. I think he brings a lot of intangibles. He can throw the ball accurately, can run and I like the fierce competitor aspect that he brings to the table. I hope he honors his verbal commitment. He will be interesting to watch to see how he fares.
The fact that he is athletic and threw for 68% completion percentage (a lot of downfield throws) says a ton for me.
DylanMiller12 said:You think that he is actually that good? he runs around and gets everybody to come up field and his guys blow by the defensive backs as they're running towards the line of scrimmage. It's easy to complete 68% of your passes when guys are wide open. There's no way he will be able to run around like that in the big sky. If you honestly think that you're kidding yourself. The 3 guys we have right now are all head and shoulders better than him.

Desert Ridge RB J.J. Husar out for season with torn ACL
24 OCTOBER 2012 KYLE ODEGARD
The knee injury to J.J. Husar was worse than originally thought.
Desert Ridge’s star running back will miss the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, he said Wednesday.
Husar suffered the injury two weeks ago against Mesa, but a preliminary diagnosis thought it was only an MCL sprain and he would be back for the state quarterfinals. However, a specialist examined the injury on Tuesday and determined there was a tear of the ACL.
Husar transferred from Basha to the Jaguars after last season and led the team with 106 carries for 1,068 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season. Desert Ridge is seeded second in the most recent power points but this injury deals a significant blow to their title chances.
“It sucks,” Husar said. “It’s not like I was here (at Desert Ridge) four years. I was here nine months and only got to play seven games.”
Husar said he will have surgery Friday and begin rehabilitating the knee. He plans to play collegiately next season.
“The plan is to heal it now and get it back to normal, or hopefully even better than normal,” he said.
The injury will likely put more emphasis on twin brothers Tarek and Taren Morrison in Desert Ridge’s offense. Tarek is the team’s quarterback and Taren was the backup running back behind Husar.

I guess the coaching staff is focused on making UM's WR much better... gotta wonder (as someone did in earlier posts) who is leaving UM...

Kind of like watching "Real Housewives of Montana". Lots of giving snide compliments to the other players, and then voting the other way. Quite entertaining really.

Delaney is as good as any MT HS WR I saw in 2012. I saw him and his other Hawk co-horts lose to state champion Butte High twice (Weyer once). Delaney was a weapon for Bozeman in both games. Covering his books is a SMART DECISION!

Not sure we had a qb who could sling the rock far enough down the field and with enough accuracy to take advantage of explosive receivers, our best WR this season was overthrown by 2-3 yards several times.IntuitiveGriz said:Paytonlives said:Sammie Long (a UW Verbal) and Marquin Russell both from Lakewood Washington visited UM this weekend. It's painfully obvious UM needs more explosive WRs. Look at EWU, their WRs were a major reason for their semi-final run...and damn-near national champ appearance. UM's 5-6 record can partially be blamed on UM's lack of explosion at WR. :twocents: (Not to sound like "I told you so", but I cried all pre-season and season that losing and not replacing Jabin Sambrano was going to hurt...and it did)
