Not a big difference, but I count at least 5 Montana boys as of now:

Nico Graham, 5-10, 175, WR, Missoula.
Josh Horner, 6-4, 205, Athlete, Great Falls.
Josh Janssen, 6-0, 185, WR, Missoula.
Tucker Schye, 6-4, 215, LB, Malta.

Wow!!!! six In-State recruits so far....and not a one of them on a full scholly!!! What's up with that? Have Mick and the boys given up on the State? I think the Cats have given at least six....maybe more.

That depends WBTFG....if it's a Puff Piece he's a Beat Writer......if he trashes Strahm he's a Columnist....if he writes a blog he could be either; or both depending on his opinion....I know it's hard to keep straight since he only uses one name!!!! [His job description must be very lenghly] :mrgreen:

i must be too old to understand what is being said....what i do know, is what his coach had to say about connor and he was the 6a player of the year, plus first team on offense and defense....sounds like a case of envy to me....m.d. is having a his way on the recruiting trail and people are noticing. imo....

With this recruiting class and a few recruits from last year, I expect there to be a lot of competition at RB, WR, CB, Safety, TE, and QB in camp. I am still excited to see how well Gamboa matures from last year's class.

Wahlberg will be busy watching a lot of position battles this year. Brint, do you need some help at camp this year?

Stanton is a good recruit. He's not Gatorade POY, but he's a coach's kid with a good understanding of the game and what's expected of him. He's not as good as Ryan Burke, but if things were reversed and Stanton signed with MSU and Burke had a year at Central to play would Stanton's choice influence him?

Back in October, Tate's Federal Way team was featured on the local high school game of the week and at that time, the announcers said twice that Tate was headed to Portland State. Of course the rumor mill is always running during the season (and after it too) and nothing is final until that signed NLI rolls through the fax machine next Wednesday. And by the way, Tate was awesome in that game; he's a good one.

Mike Tate - wouldn't it be better to be a Griz, play in front of a rapid, packed house in the largest stadium in the Big Sky every weekend and win championships, rather than go to psu, play in front of meager crowds and always come up short in the title chase? Just saying....

Mick has always been a masterful recruiter. He is what kids (people in general) gravitate to. Just a great man. :thumb:

I would love to get Mike Tate. The NW recruiting guys I know are very high on him, and say he is one of the best in the NW. He has offers from Montana, Eastern Wash, Portland State, Idaho and Wyoming.

Hopefully to have some great battles with McKinley, Russell (if he plays CB) and some of the other Griz recruits for the next 4 or 5 years. I haven't followed it too closely, but Eastern appears to have a solid recruiting class on board.
