Word out of Nevada is that he will be transfering... Tannner was down to 2 schools (UM & Nevada) when he took the offer from Nevada. His dad is a big cat fan, however he was not going to stand in Tanners way if he picked UM...

Make no mistake, this kid is VERY talented! He could probably start at several pos. for the Griz.

I think its a good chance he will be a Griz... but who knows. The reality is that he will be home for Christmas break and that will probably determine alot.

Not only is Steve a cat fan, he is also a former player. Great guy too.

He was very open about Tanner’s decision out of high-school and would have supported him becoming a Griz. That was before the recent “scandals”, and the mood is a little different now.

Tanner will not be a Griz.

Since I don't know father or son I can't speak for them . However, if my son told me he was going to attend any university (regardless if they were the rival of my alma matter, or under the cloud of scandal like Penn St.) and I wouldn't have to pay a dime I would be ecstatic.

Always need to upgrade, but there was also a pretty green receiving corps at UM in 2012. They improved as the year went on and I don't think it was because S-H became the QB. Ellis Henderson at the end of the season was a better player than the Ellis Henderson the Griz turned to unsuccessfully win the game at EWU.

It had to do more with the fact that we played weak sisters ISU and Weber. You must have missed the MSU game. Our QB and receiver play was substandard all year in spite of those that choose to blame everything on coaching. We have to be better next year and it will require some new talent.

I think that Roderick would have been about 12 years old when the incidents at MSU happened....too bad you can't get them out of your mind IntuitbutonecaresGriz....Why don't you brush up on current events? Henderson starts for "anyone" in BSC. I saw him open so many times that I lost my voice screaming at coaches to get him the ball at least two different games. EWU and PSU were all over him this time last when he decided to leave Hawaii (which he would have started at as well) Saylor too but IMO he's more of a TE type.

Our lack of read progression by QBs was less then ideal. WRs lacked the level of productivity due to inability to get them the ball consistently. I got tired of watching Saylor, Henderson and even Hayes early in the season wide open and our QBs immediately throwing the ball to a back or TE in the flat.

I dont care what anyone says scheme has a little more than a little something to do with it. If you think I am wrong, show me ANY other team that throws bubble screens to their TE! That was embarrassing to watch (over and over).

Rosey obviously never saw recruiting video of Henderson taking screen after screen for big plays and into the end zone against very strong competition in WA State. I dont think they threw him one ball on a screen not a f'ing one! So glad he's gone to Weber...use the talent we have correctly and success will follow.

You are right, we were not the most talented team in the Big Sky last year. Just like there have been many years where we've won the Big Sky without the most talent in the league. I think the FR, RS FR, and SO coming up will change this and how we finish games.

Also ESPN is reporting the following:

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA released a package of proposals Friday that would change the recruiting calendar, lift restrictions on how and how often coaches can contact recruits, and allow athletes to accept more money for participating in non-scholastic events.

All the proposals are expected to be voted on Jan. 19 at the NCAA's annual convention near Dallas. If approved, they could take effect Aug. 1.

This is the first detailed glimpse into how the NCAA intends to rewrite its massive rulebook and Jim Barker, chairman of the NCAA rules committee working on the plan, said the goal is "smarter rules and tougher enforcement."

If the package is approved, the overall result would provide coaches with more leeway in recruiting. The hope is that athletes will build more meaningful relationships with their coaches, and they will get more opportunities to showcase their skills in front of college and pro scouts.

Campus leaders are embracing the moves, too.

"We have to keep track of all that now," Indiana athletic director Fred Glass said. "If don't have to do that, it will eliminate a substantial part of it."

One key recommendation would create a uniform recruiting calendar for all sports and allow coaches to begin contacting potential recruits after July 1 of their sophomore year, though coaches would still have to abide by the no-contact periods.

I think kane ioane has been recruiting the IE pretty hard this year, so it wouldnt surprise me. It sounds like a big OT from west covina recently committed to msu...hopefully Khari follows suit.

I had read earlier that the Horner kid from CMR is a possible candidate at receiver for the griz. Anyone know if we have any type of offer to him? I saw him play some hoops the past few weeks, and the kid is an athlete. Could be a Bagley type receiver, except I think he is a little taller and seems a touch more athletic than Bagley. With his height, I could actually see him as a Hardy like tight end.

I seen him play state champion Butte High twice this past season, he is a great athlete for sure. And I like the TE possibility, he would abuse/make some plays against some safeties. Tough, athletic, big kid.

Khari Garcia (Charter Oak HS in Covina) is similar to current Griz CBs Nate Harris (Chino Hills HS in Chino Hills) and Sean Murray (Santiago HS in Corona) in that the three are from high schools that played in the CIF Southern Section...playing similar teams such as Roosevelt and Rancho Cucamonga...and even eachother.


Khari Garcia did not make the ALL CIF (all state) – INLAND DIVISION...3 of his teammates did.
Khari Garcia made the FIRST TEAM ALL-SIERRA LEAGUE DEFENSE.

Current Griz Nate Harris was named first team All-C.I.F. (all state) and first team all-league at running back and cornerback.

You've got a bad case of selective amnesia, that's nice. Unfortunately for most of mankind, we have a
conscious and remember quite vividly how just 6 years ago (Tanner was turning 14, but that's totally beside the point) two bobcats KIDNAPPED (shoved a human being into a trunk at gunpoint), drove to an msu field, and MURDERED another bozeman local (a suspected drug dealer) with a 40 cal gun and left for dead.
