2012 Big Sky Predictions?

Who's Cal Davis? I know there is a team named UC Davis, University of California at Davis, Cal Aggies, and UCD, but there is NO school named Cal Davis in California. I guess after teaching the schools in the Great West our name, we now have to teach another bunch of schools who are unfamiliar with our school as to our correct names. Our school would greatly appreciate our rivals to at least get our name right. I feel, we at least deserve to be called by a correct name.

It's funny how you research sites that are also incorrect and ASSUME them to be right. I would suggest sites such as the UC Davis site and see how we are referred to. Or even try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UC-Davis" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, they are at least more knowledgeable than your referenced site. UCD is not referred to as Cal Davis anyplace except by people who know NOT what they are talking about. I would hope the Big Sky can get it right. I am sure if someone referred to you guys as the Montana State Grizzlies all the time (while thinking they were correct to do so) would upset your school too. We have been referred to Cal Davis by the media as far back as I can remember (around 1970) and it has ALWAYS been wrong to do so. So, just because someone uses an incorrect name over the years doesn't make it right!!!

They do get mad, you should have seen them when Altitude had them down as MU :lol:

It's why Northern Colorado fans get mad when they are called NCU, or when people pronounce Weber State Webber State, or when NAU gets called UNA.

It's not thier name and it shows a lack of respect.

Yeah, but Cal-Davis IS their name. UC-Davis stands for University of Calfornia - Davis. It's the same as calling Eastern Washington University "Eastern Wash." University of California is often called Cal, or Cal-Berekely. It's not like we're calling them Cal-Davis University which would of course be incorrect.

And now you all are getting a general whiff of the douchiness that students from UC Duh-vis exude. They like to smell their own farts and will soon be referring to themselves as the Stanford of the FCS as they sip on a nice Pinot cultivated from their hippy backyards. Much like that retarded cousin that you can't get rid of, we've had to deal with this for 60+ years, now you will too. Enjoy.
