I am still not sold on CP but think they will at least be in the top half.
Of all Big Sky fans I would think that a Cat fan would be sold on Cal Poly. Cal Poly beat MSU the last 7 times we played before MSU refused to continue to schedule Cal Poly.

Explain to me the relevance of games 6 or 7 years ago to the current teams. You have been reading too many posts by grizidiots if you believe that games several years ago are a factor in this years teams.

I said that I thought you would be in the top half at least, I am not sold that you will contend for the championship, I may be wrong but its still February :thumb:
They don't. I was very disappointed when MSU stopped scheduling Cal Poly and I am just taking out my frustration. I'll be there when Cal Poly next plays in Bozeman. Looking forward to many great battles with MSU and all the Big Sky teams now that we are in the conference.
msu got tired of losing to you. There is even a thread over on kittynation saying how they didnt ever want to play you again.

In no particular order...

BSC Title Contenders: EWU, Cal Poly, UM, MSU
Darkhorses: SUU, PSU, Weber, NAU
Mediocre Middle: UND, UCD, ISU, SAC
Last Place: Da Bears.

FWIW concerning EWU:
-UW transfer DT Andru Pulu (6'1, 300) will be eligible to play this year.
-AA LB Zach Johnson was granted a medical RS and will be back.
-OL will be experienced... 10 different players started in 2011 due to injury.
-WRs are DEEP; Nick Edwards (6'3), Greg Herd (6'3), and Brandon Kaufman (6'5) all have had a 1000+ season in the last two years...
-QB Kyle Padron (6'3, 230)(who took BLM's at SMU and is now transferring) is on campus today and tomorrow. If he signs, watch out. :thumb:

My predicted order of finish:

UM (defense is a question)
MSU (solid all around)
CP (great schedule)
EWU (pending Qb situation)
WSU (have a solid returning group)
SUU (great Qb play will win games)
NAU (will rely heavily on Bauman)
PSU (lost a lot of key players)
UND (just a guess)
UCD (just a guess)
SAC (lost a lot of key players)
UNC (need better o-line play)
ISU (still a few years away)

1. Montana
2. Cal Poly ( has the easiest schedule, could easily be #1)
3. Montana State
4. Eastern Washington
5. Weber State (Weber and EWU could easily be swapped)
6. Portland State
7. North Dakota
8. Southern Utah
9. Northern Arizona
10. Sacramento State
11. Idaho State
12. UC Davis
13. Northern Colorado (Davis and NC could also be easily swapped)

Yes, both Talley and Forte were true freshmen last year and are physical, hard runners. Mario Brown will be a junior. Hope to see more from the UW transfer Bronson.

We have a RS freshman will very similar skillsets to DeNarius McGhee, and a RS Junior who has minimal game experience. Signed one QB in this year's draft class, but guarantee he redshirts. Baldwin has stated though that he will add a 4th QB before spring ball, and possibly a 5th, so it definitely looks like we're getting a transfer one way or another. Hope he can sell Padron today... he put up better numbers than BLM, with about half the INTS. Also has a lot better size. Also played a pass-heavy spread in HS.

Explain why. Will they be that bad?

No I believe they will be better than people are giving them credit for.

Why? Every school's fan probably believes they will do well this season. Explain what makes the sue a good team this year.

I'm not saying they are going to win the conference or anything but I do believe that they will finish above where some people are putting them.

All of their offensive weapons will be returning and we will be getting a new QB from UNC. Our D-Line will be returning but we will be losing starters at linebacker and safety. I am okay with the linebackers because we have some players that got a good amount of playing time that will fill in nicely. And at safety we have some RS freshman who have been looked at highly that will be getting plenty of playing time but who knows how good they will end up. I just believe it is a lot of the same team just more experienced and our QB play last year was awful and we still managed to win 8 games granted it was in the Great West and against some (stupid) NAIA/D2 schools. I guess we will just have to let the year play out and see what happens.

So you are returning all of the offense that was last in the GW last year

Our run game was really good but slowed down towards the end of the year because our QB play was so awful last year so teams started to stack the box and stop the run. I'm not saying we are going to win the conference! I am just saying that for the people who think we are going to be near the bottom they are underestimating us. Whatever though because who knows what's going to happen.

No doubt. I think the Sue fans will come to the harsh realization of how difficult it will be to compete in the 'Sky as to the Great West.

I don't think any Sioux fans have been saying that Big Sky play will be a cake-walk. My own pick of North Dakota to finish 1st was tongue-in-cheek, but I think that a top 4 finish in the standings is realistic. Competent QB play last season would have made an already good team very good, IMO. Hopefully that problem has been addressed and UND will not be so one-dimensional. Looking at our conference schedule, it is tough but also somewhat favorable. We have the Griz, Cal Poly, and SUU at home, so that helps. I see 5 games where North Dakota will be the favorite. Maybe we blow one or two, but maybe we steal one or two. Will have to see how it all shakes out............
