I'm just glad to see a football thread rolling along on here again. I stayed away for a while because there wasn't much going on.
Anyhow... From the looks of it, the Griz are gonna be just fine at the LB spot. Thats what worried me the most! I'm not sure if JJ just had to rust to knock off or if the D is really that good. A pick, one batted down... this could be a great thing!!

JJ's fine. The sample size here is extremely small and most information we pick up from these scrimmages should be taken with multiple grains of salt.
Yeah, good call. I'm just really hoping that the D steps up and we dont see many or AnY high scoring OT shoot-outs. The shit takes year off my life. I was working during the Sac State game and people thought I was going nuts. Haha

I wasn't that cold at the scrimmage, but those metal benches felt like -30. There may have been a few drops by the WRs, but there were some nice catches too. Austin Carver made a nice catch I recall. There is a new TE (Thiebbes?) who came from Lewis and Clark College. McKinney, playing safety, had a nice stop and will hopefully learn the position quickly. JJ played very sparingly. That scrimmage was more of a glorified practice than anything. Canada looked quick on his route running and had the nice TD catch. After watching this scrimmage (and though it is very early), I think the defense will be just fine. Schye (sp) is going to be something special. :thumb:
Thats great to hear!! Not the cold seats, the defense. I'm not glad the last group is gone but I about pulled my last 3 hairs out this season watching some of that stuff. I'm not or ever was the greatest football player around but I do know that you can't play 10 yards off the line and let a runner eat up the cushion and not expect to get burned. UgH. Frustrating.

If you are not a man by age 16, blame the parents, it's usually single moms trying to be friends with their kids instead of a parent.
Most males are not "men" yet at 26, much less at 16.

18-25 year olds in the countries of Iraq, Afghanistan, Panama, etc... that are active duty US military sure grow-up quick! Saying these young men are not men and only kids, is simply WRONG!

Snot nosed college kids who parents never beat their asses are children!

Discussions of human development/child rearing theories and arguing about what qualifies as cold.

Wake me when we get back to Griz Football.

The ignorance is strong with this one.

Whether or not they are considered adults really depends on the weather. The weather really determines whether or not they are adults. Whether they are 16 or 18, it really comes down to the weather. I don’t give a shit whether you agree or not, weather permitting of course.

U must have been a weather man in your past life. Weather or not that's relevant to what were talking about; spring football, makes no difference to me.
:dead:

A man at 16? Posting evidence strongly suggests that not one E Grizer was a man at 16, and many haven't made it yet. This excludes The Betch of course. Once again Alphy missed the boat.

Three wars, two police actions in my military career and I have grown old. Although I may be getting older, I absolutely refuse to grow up. I will enjoy my Griz football games, tailgating and all those that choose to visit me at my tailgate. Griz football is my life passion now, and I will enjoy it as an adult who is very young at heart. BRINT, Appreciate all you do for Griz football and us fans. Alpha....well what can I say? Super dude! Go Griz!
