1 Griz & 1 former Griz in trouble

Someone has to be here to reel you guys in when your Bromance gets carried away and you lose sight of actual facts....

You mean facts like how you admitted drinking when you were under the age of 21, yet want players to be severely punished for having a beer before they turn 21? It was OK when you did it, but not OK when someone else does it, right?

Your agenda is pretty clear... you only crawl out from under your holier-than-thou rock when there's something negative to say about Griz BB. Once again you come here to spew your drivel without actually knowing the facts, and just assume that the players were 100% in the wrong.

Would you PLEASE get your facts straight!!! I come on here when a member of your Fball team screws the pooch as well... I am an equal opportunity holier-than-thou driveler....

hey Einstein... the fact that they lawyer up and have court dates tells me that they are in the wrong!!

At what point does your Bromance end with these ungrateful fools? At what point do you "fans" begin to care more about the reputation of the University than covering the asses of these idiots?

Wow...just...wow. So only guilty people ever need to hire a lawyer? People never get accused of something unless they actually are 100% guilty and in the wrong?

So if someone accuses you of something that means you are guilty right? Holy shit...the Taliban would love you. Maybe you should move out of the U.S. and into a country where you can satisfy your need to stone people based on an accusation without the need for those pesky little things called "facts". I know this is probably a foreign concept to you, and I imagine it confuses you severely...but out here people are innocent until they are proven guilty.

Ok i deserved that. Now answer the more difficult question. At what point does your Bromance end with these ungrateful fools? At what point do you "fans" begin to care more about the reputation of the University than covering the asses of these idiots?

How long has Wayne Tinkle been the HC for the GRIZ? How many legal run ins did the program have prior to this year, under Wayne? He has done a great job keeping his players out of trouble off the court. The program has been stellar prior to recent happenings, under Wayne. I am sure he is pissed about 1 player, let alone multiple players having some minor legal run ins. Wayne is man with as much personal and professional pride as anyone. People like you and posts like yours, are exactly why these players need to be disciplined. Even though he cannot control what his players do off the court, when one does mess up, it is a bad reflection on that person, the team, coaches, university, and state.

The players making these dumb ass decisions and the team will be dealt with as Wayne and Haslam feel fit. Rest assured, Wayne is NOT taking these things lightly. I have seen Wayne upset, and it was something much more minor than his players' actions. He is a big man, and outright intimidating when you add being pissed off to the equation. I would not want to be any one of those players answering to him.

Because a player or players get in trouble does not make him bad at his job,nor does it override the body of a coaches work. IF, this is not cleaned up and trouble continues, then people can question his job and character. That time is not now, and knowing Wayne well, that time will never happen.

Don't be surprised if basketball players are no longer renting homes. Have a feeling Wayne is going to lay down the axe hard on the team, before next season begins. Sounds like there are a few too many guys drinking, and not being responsible. Lay down the law Wayne!

That would kill recruiting. When other schools pointed out that UM would require the recruit to live in a dorm for 4/5 years, the recruits with good choices wouldn't come to UM.

There are apartments to rent. Sharing homes opens up more people for parties. At least when I was in my teens and early 20's, most the bigger louder parties were at homes, not apartments.

This is a bunch of Malarky and you know it...

IF the players were afraid of him and the consequences of pissing him off, then 1/3 of the bench would not have lawyers standing by their side...

IF Wayne and Haslam had cracked down and made an example of Henderson months ago when he was a DUI, then others would be out pushing those limits again...

IF UM Athletes were not put upon the pedestal and treated like Greek Gods by the rabid fan that is the UM Nation, and IF the FAN held these goons accountable for trashing and continuing to tarnish the reputation of UM, then these fools would not feel empowered to continue crapping on those who for some reason continue to support them...

IF this board EVER lit up condemning these idiots and their actions, then possibly, slowely these "Gods" would begin to step in line....

No my friend, these fortunate fools rule the roost because YOU continue to support them in their actions and there is not a Coach, Administrator, or rabid supporter who can stop them until REAL discipline is enacted....

Those are the cold hard facts....

So discipline be damned if it lures inter-city players and partiers to the program.... how much soul does the program have left to sell??

This has nothing to do with just "inter-city players and partiers" even the most upstanding players and especially JC and transfer players are going to want to have more freedom. Having to live on campus will be a deal breaker.

Guess UM should keep sweeping these type of things under the rug like EWU.

Well.... UM did that for about 15 years earning you a year long, ongoing investigation from the DOJ and NCAA... How did that work out for ya??

You mean other than bring jackasses like yourself out of the woodwork?

Again with the lawyer comment...because as we know spokaneman here knows that anyone who ever needs a lawyer MUST be guilty, and should be stoned immediately.

You're going to bring up the Henderson incident? After the absolute beating you took over it last time? Seriously?!

He got what was called a "baby" DUI, meaning he could have had one glass of wine and that was it. You yourself admitted to drinking when you were under the age of 21. Talk about hypocrisy... Each time someone asked you what YOU thought the punishment should be you dodged the question and just kept with the bullshit general "harsher" answer. Henderson also ended up sitting out multiple games due to it, and had to earn his spot back for more playing time.

You really shouldn't have brought that back up again....you were made to look even more like a holier-than-thou hypocritical jackass in that thread than you are in this thread (which is hard to believe). You may top yourself though, you are getting close...

Of course you are right.... why in the world would police blotters on over 1/3 of the team be any cause for concern....

By the recent headlines in the local rag, it could not be more clear just how afraid and scared s#!tless the team is of Tinkle, Haslam, and the Admin. The Athletes are shaking in their free Air Jordans wondering when the next obligatory slap on the wrist will be handed down....
