Are you still saying you have “influence and control” over your “good friends” and whether they make those over 3 million dollar donations? Why would they ever need you to make those decisions? You have NEVER made a contribution anywhere near that amount. Go ahead and refute that. Why would people who have significant money ever listen to you about how to donate it?

I was a securities and tech lawyer for 45 years. Involved in most of the IPO’s in state for many decades. Represented Great Plains Software and Doug Bergum of Fargo too. Half of the top tech companies in the State for decades. Wrote many of their stock plans. The RightNow sale is the largest transaction ever done in Montana, to my knowledge. Sold to Oracle. Great Plains was sold to Microsoft. I suppose you have never heard of them.

Because they are good friends and-or clients. And I fronted for one of those guys with the UM Foundation on the discussions.

Let’s see your list of major donors and potential UM donors. You know so little you can even do a list. Everyone I know knows you are a big nothing.

Love how you totally ignore the entire point of the post, which was you had AI create some ignorant argument. I guess you are conceding and admitting it was lazy, non-sensical rambling?

Anyways, yes, we’ve heard the story. You couldn’t cut it practicing in New York and had to move back to MT. It has haunted you your entire adult life, so you have to try and play “big fish, small pond” to compensate.

I can go pull up the post from January to help jog your failing memory. You tried to make an argument about wealth in Chandler AZ vs. Bozeman. I pointed out that you had no idea what you were talking about, because you were explaining stock rewards as you had seen them in smaller, regional deals. It wasn’t a flex-off, just me once again pointing out that your argument was wrong.

I did well in nyc, but always to move back West. Got recruited by 2d firm. My 2d firm was in or around top 100 in US. Offices in Europe, Asia and Canada too. Big in M&A. Clients like Mayo Clinic, United Health, US Bank, Cargill, Northwest-Delta, Dain, Piper, DA Davidson, Pacific, Sletton. I headed our Montana offices. I was partners and friends with the likes of Walter Mondale, Amy Klobuchar. First firm had many famous and accomplished people too. I worked on stock plans for companies of all sizes. I could tell you didn’t know what you were talking about in our prior exchange. There are various types of stock and incentive plans. I won the prior point. Mondale was a friend and great guy. I learned a lot from him. Amy was terrific too. Everyone at the firm liked her. Dorsey was a great place for my law career, and I got to live in MT.

I judged him as a person and in his life. He wasn’t a loser. He was a great guy. He lost one election but otherwise excelled in life. My life was better for knowing him. You would have enjoyed him. He won as attorney general weak of mn and is Senator, with Humphrey. Vice President. And was US Ambassador to Japan. Quite a career.
