Here is a list of top QBs in portal.

Interesting nugget from the article……about half of all FBS teams started a transfer QB last season. So it’s not just the Griz who go that route:

Deion Sanders reportedly told Colorado AD Rick George he wants CU's roster to be 80 percent transfers and 20 percent high school signees.

The NIL value is a good starting point. I actually prefer it to the recruiting star system.

And what the coach brings is important too.

Seeing those NIL values is definitely eye-opening

Here's a complete list of his signees (in one of the links).

...as of yesterday. I understand he's still got several scholarships to offer.

The NIL money is in addition to the stipends that come with the FCOA. The Power 5 and a few Group of 5 schools have outgrown the NCAA and that ought to be clear to anyone with just a small background in sports administration.

How? He has one year to turn it around like Leipold in Kansas, DDykes at TCU, Riley at USC.

That goofball that left Boise for Auburn didn't get two years. Those folks paying the NIL money and paying for the programs want immediate success. He doesn't have the luxury of developing kids and building a program at the Power 5 level.

It's absolutely necessary if they want to have any chance of competing against their schedule this year.

I’m talking long term. It’s fine for this year, but if he keeps doing that then that’s a problem.

Ever look at how long Power 5 coaches stay at one school? Two or three years in that elitist, hippy school and he'll be off to another school.

Former 5-star Washington transfer QB Sam Huard is giving Cal-Poly a legitimate look. His former HS coach Sheldon Cross is there.

I was told- "Don't be surprised if Sam and Junior Alexander end up at Cal-Poly together"

Junior Alexander is that Lonyatta? If it is he’s already at msu.

Yes, and I know, and that made it weird, but I had heard previously that Huard was considering Poly, so more of why I shared it. Not sure when the tweet was originally made.

Huard to Cal poly would definitely make that team better quickly. However their defense from what I saw last year is atrocious and would still have a long ways to go. I’m not sure they would be super competitive right away.

Brint suggested this a few weeks ago.

You mean the goofball who had a 15 million dollar payout after only coaching 21 games? The same goofball who would have toiled forever at Boise to make a fraction of that. The same goofball who will get hired somewhere as a coordinator and make several more millions if he wants to keep working? Yep, he is a goofball alright. We fans lose complete lack of perspective. This is a money game. Wins and losses for the coaches is job security and $$$. Win loss record for pride and competitiveness is secondary and they will jump at the first chance of big money. I don’t blame them one bit. What a cut throat terrible business college football is. Pretty sad really. The NCAA made this mess and nobody is putting Humpty Dumpty back together again!!

The NCAA didn't make this, they just watched as it happened. They don't have the power to exhibit control on anything significant in major college football.

Huard has basically shown nothing from his 5 star skillset in his three years at Washington. He was seriously misevaluated (as many Washington prep athletes are) most likely due to his good QB lineage between his dad and uncle. As someone who follows the Pac-12 very closely, specifically the northern teams, I witnessed on multiple occasions UW fans clamoring during his recruitment that he was a generational talent who would likely start immediately and be gone in three years to the NFL. What transpired could not have been farther from that. It would be pretty crazy if the 249th ranked all-time recruit on 247 sports wound up playing FCS ball.
