Where has this guy been all our lives?! THIS IS the attitude of DOLA that has been MISSING at Montana for QUITE SOME TIME, This kid wants to kick your ass, and then go up in the stands and and kick your families ass just for shits and giggles. I LOVE HIM :!: :!: :!:

I loved what he said in the video too. Seemed like a MT guy. Assume NE guys are similar.

This guy sounds like a J. D. Quinn 2020 version. Me likee.
That’s a pretty bold comparison
“He has the physical ability, plus that intangible you can’t coach — leadership skill,” Reid said. “You can’t always find it. But you feel lucky when you find someone who has it. He has it all. He’s Dave Dickenson — one of greatest quarterbacks we’ve had here — in a bigger, stronger, more athletic body. That’s Travis Lulay.”

Don't you mean "bowled", as in, he bowled over Cat tackles and the mike all day?

Except that JD Quinn was a nationally ranked OL coming out of high school and a valued recruit to Oklahoma. As most know, Quinn never quite capitalized on his ability, but he had much higher credentials.

He started multiple games as a redshirt frosh at OK. I doubt that Quinn has any regrets. He's a great guy. Is getting married to a great woman, in MT this summer.

Reporter from crimson and creme definitely has a different opinion of Quinn than others over here.

Exactly. My previous post wasn't meant to demean Quinn at all actually. I just wanted to show that Quinn had much better credentials and potential than Forbes,so that comparison is speculative at best. Any unbiased opinion of Quinn says he totally wasted his talent, but since PR had a drink with him a few times, his jock-sniffing opinion is tainted.

I know your post wasn't demeaning Quinn. I was just providing accurate info, as he was more than good recruit for OK.

And for the record, I have had 100s of drinks with JD, and we are good friends. As I have posted, we went to the Hong Kong 7's rugby tourney together. I have dinner with him when he comes back to Missoula for Homecoming every year. He pays. I will be at his wedding this summer too.

Unbiased people may think he wasted his talent, but I don't think he does. He had a great time in Missoula. Met great friends. Would like to move back to MT sometime. Marrying a UM and U Va law school grad. He's successful, and maybe very successful, in his work so far. Making a good chunk of money, and probably much more than you. He's doing great in life.

Here are the 16 KNOWN offers this kid had during this transfer process. So awesome we got him!

Northern Colorado
Saint Francis University
Univ Nebraska Kearney
Lindenwood University
Sanford University
West Texas A&M
Idaho St
NW Missouri St
Eastern Kentucky
Abilene Christian
Stephen F Austin
UT Martin
SELA
East Tenn St
Mcneese St
Eastern Illinois
So Luke couldn't convince him to come to Greeley and play for his dad; that's too bad UNC needs tons of help along the offensive line. Congrats on the pick up.

Quinn was a stud. Don’t miss him.

PR, what is he doing these days? I ran into him a few years ago with a mutual friend and he was almost unrecognizable to me. Seemed he was about 80 pounds lighter than his playing days.

His reputation would have been tarnished anywhere else outside of Montana because of his multiple DUI's. I think driving while drunk is encouraged in the state of Montana?

drunk driving laws are just a way for our socialist government to control us and take away our liberties. i'm not surprised you don't know this as you're likely a product of our socialistic marxist godless higher education system. pick up a book by Jordan B. Peterson or an ex-marxist like Bella Dodd if you wanna know the real truth...

My thoughts went back to when some on this board (like the mooronblood guy) defended Quinn like it was no big deal. This was years ago just right after it happened. I'm pretty sensitive to this issue because my father was killed by a drunk driver when I was very young, but I shouldn't paint every Montanan with the same broad brush. My apology.

I don't argue that Missoula might have been the beast thing for him personally, and I wish him the best. If he made more $ than I did in 2019, he is REALLY doing well, but I highly doubt it. If you need to believe that you and your friends are so-much richer and more influential than us other peons, I could care less to prove you wrong.

If you have it, you don't need to talk about it!
