Word on the street is the Griz landed 2 transfer drop down DBs from Oregon St. Both are former 3 star recruits who have a lot of potential. Sounds like they may both play CB here

Seems like a big positive to me. Everything I've heard from people or read within the recruiting thread on the subforum makes me believe at least one of them is for sure here but would love the school to confirm it. I imagine there are logistics of deciding to go to a school, moving to Missoula, applying, and classes starting all within about a week.

Not exactly "on the street"; news has been in Recruiting Central for a few days now.

Mods, pls move this thread to Recruiting and merge it where it will be hidden better, so fewer Griz fans will see this, and the number of egriz views-clicks will be lower (to help keep Chris’ advertising revenue down).

Yep I follow that closely too.... no one seemed to know if it was a done deal. I posted this because I heard it is.

Plus, moving it to the recruiting thread keeps the riff raff out. Only people there are ones that want to talk recruiting, not just any old shit. That’s why I like posting in the “other sports” forum. Only the truly die hard Griz fans venture there. It’s not full of a bunch of bandwagon football fans.

What is going on over at Oregon State? 2 DB's to the griz, and a Safety to the Cats, all in a week...

Sort of sounds like they're cleaning house, bringing in a lot of JuCo secondary players, and I think these guys maybe didn't like the way it was going. All three players were recruited by Gary Andersen, and his departure sure was...weird.

All 3 should be a huge boost to their respective new secondaries.

Jonathan Smith is going to make a program of OSU; it was already evident in the 2nd half of the season.

The 2 linked guys played safety at OSU. One played in 6 games, and started 3, last fall. The other one, who is younger, had no stats last fall. The older one must be a grad transfer. He must have gotten hurt.

Agreed. Lost to Wazzu by 1, Cal by 4, Stanford by 3. Real close to a bowl game. Will get there next year. Jonathan is a great talent evaluator and knows which kids in Arizona and Southern California will stick around in Corvallis and make an impact.

My only concern is the injuries. Why is every transfer being brought in have injury problems?

Hard to answer why, because every transfer brought in doesn't have injury problems.
