This bracket gave a spot to the winner of the cat-griz game
That bracket had the cats getting in over UND ifnthey beat the Griz. If the Griz beat the cats and UND wins at NAu, the committee won't put Griz over a UND team that beat them easily.
wonder if the committee would favor a conference team over an independent? Or late season comparison. UND lost to Idaho in Moscow and Griz destroyed Idaho in Moscow.
Yep they take all of that into account. They like teams who are coming into playoffs hot with a few straight wins. Take care of cats and see what happens.

Why would I want to build a wall on the Canadian Border. I am a liberal and I like my quasi-socialists to the North. Plus a wall would hinder my ability to hike back and forth across Glacier National Park into Waterton Lakes National Park.

Except for that little loss against the worst team in the fcs, PSU. That game alone will keep us out. Hope I'm wrong but if we don't make it you can hang your hat on that one.
PSU is far from the worst team in the FCS, not even the worst team in the BSC. Get real.

Not a done deal, but it's a very REAL possibility the winner of the Brawl gets in. No matter how many Griz fans think the Griz don't deserve it. With the carnage today in the FCS, coupled with both teams appearing to be red-hot, the winner will be hard for the committee to keep out.
Except for that little loss against the worst team in the fcs, PSU. That game alone will keep us out. Hope I'm wrong but if we don't make it you can hang your hat on that one.
Look at what PSU has done since then.

Teams in the FCS playoffs (Conf. Champs) (6)
- North Dakota State (10-0) (Missouri Valley)
- Kennesaw State (9-1) (Big South)
- Colgate (9-0) (Patriot)
- Jacksonville State (8-2) (Ohio Valley)
- San Diego (8-2) (Pioneer)
- Duquesne (Northeast) or Sacred Heart will be the Northeast AQ

8 wins and are in (4)
- Eastern Washington (8-2)
- UC-Davis (8-2)
- Weber State (8-2)
- East Tennessee State (8-2)

The teams with 7 Wins: (9)
- Maine (CAA) Plays Elon (6-3) Bubble teams Need Maine to Win.. But Maine DNP Madison, Delaware or Stoney Brook.
- Delaware (CAA) Plays Villanova- a loss would be a 2 in a row to finish the season
- James Madison (CAA) Plays Towson, a Loss puts them 3-3 their final 6 games
- Stony Brook (CAA) Plays 2-9 Albany... Oh Well.
- Towson (CAA) plays Madison if they lose would be 1-3 their last 4 and probably out
- Wofford (Southern) Plays 2-7 Presbyterian... Oh Well
- Southeast Missouri St. (Ohio Valley) Plays 3-7 Eastern Ill.
- South Dakota State (Missouri Valley) Plays 4-6 South Dakota
- Nicholls State (Southland) Plays 4-6 SE Louisiana

6 Win Teams
-Elon (6-3) is at Maine (7-3) Bubble teams Need Maine to Win.. But Maine DNP Madison, Delaware or Stony Brook.
-Idaho State (6-4) at Weber State- Obviously Bubble teams need a Weber win
-msu (6-4) at Montana (6-4) Winner has a chance loser licks wounds
-Chattanooga (6-4) at (FBS) South Carolina Terrible scheduling, but and upset makes them a playoff team
-Lamar (6-4) at McNeese State (6-4) A McNeese win helps, Lamar has won 5 straight
-North Dakota (6-4) at Northern Arizona- Please play well Jacks!
-Indiana State (6-4) at Western Illinois Don't think either team is in but a W. Illinois win makes it official.

And then there is the MEAC
North Carolina A&T (8-2)
Florida A&M (6-4) at Bethune-Cookman (6-5)

A Florida A&M win sends them to the Celebration Bowl because they beat A&T 22-21 earlier this year and both would be 6-1 in Conference.

If that happens does the Committee pass on a 9-2 ranked A&M team???
All bubble teams should pray that Florida A&M loses to B-C and North Carolina A&T goes to the Bowl game, leaving no MEAC teams in the FCS playoffs

I think they’ve always put a lot more emphasis on head to head, but it is an interesting argument.

I question that bracket because how the hell would SEMO outbid MSU for that first round game?

Point: Not basing this just on $$$ for a Griz home game. No doubt, the NCAA loves money, but FCS is really a minor sideline in that regard. But at its second (or third) tier level. Montana brings some history to the event, which certainly helps their "story line."

Plus ... the NCAA committee has also shown a preference for team that are "on a role" at the end.
Yep - I love the "we have a big stadium and we used to be good" argument for getting into the playoff's vs actually beating a team with a winning record!!

The committee will consider lots of things such as best win?? Who would that be?
Who is your worst loss?
Considering you lost to UCD by 26 late in the season, which the Eagles just beat by 39 might be a good place to start.
The Eagles still remember that 7 wins is not the holy ground it used to be, they were snubbed last year, no quality wins and a couple of ugly losses.
Consider this, consider this: You're attempting to lecture fans of The University of Montana Grizzlies about the playoffs. Everything you know, everything you think you know, and everything you hope to know about the NCAA FCS Playoffs, we already know.
And lots of time to think about it
