Good things have always happened for Griz squads with quality players from Hawaii. It’s been such a great and traditional pipeline for the Griz, going back to the Bruce Wallwork days. Good luck guys!

Soane was a first team All Gold Coast selection as a defensive lineman at 240 lbs. Defensive End?

His highlights have him as a linebacker. and his size would suggest backer.

Ooh that’s gonna be a tough one. 2 way battle with Weber. Both have good facilities and Weber’s been the better team the past couple years. I like his size though.
I was told before the game started not to encourage the students to start my favorite chant, but you did it any way (FTC)- Bobby Hauck. UM Student and lifelong #1 Griz fan

Quote about Tolliver:

For his efforts,(In High School) was named to the Cal-Hi Sports All-State Juniors third team, Long Beach Press Telegram Dream Team second team and all-Trinity League first team…rated a three-star recruit by Rivals, Scout, 247Sports and ESPN…ranked as the No. 64 cornerback nationally and No. 11 corner in the West…also sprinted for the track and field team, competing in the 100-meter, 200-meter and relays…transferred to St. John Bosco after spending his freshman and sophomore years at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif…an honor-roll student.

If UM can reel in OL- Moses Mallory this will have been one of the best Summer gathering of talent at UM for a very long time

Taking a look at the transfer list, it's obvious where Bobby thought we needed the most help (and I'm not saying he didn't try for other OL transfers)...but if this list is any indication, he felt the weakness was in the D...

2019 Transfers (8)
RB- Marcus Knight 6'1" 200 (Citrus College JC) Glendora, CA -Will be a Soph
OL- Kordell Pillans 6’6” 325 (Mesa CC) (2 2-Star) via Kodiak, AK -Will be RS Junior

DE- Ryder Rice 6'7" (Rocky) 1 to play 1
DE- Joe Babros 6'4" 250 (NC State) (S 3-Star) -Will be RS Junior
LB- Mason Vinyard 6'5" 230 (Washington State Transfer) (2 3-Star) -Will be RS Junior
LB- Soane Vaohea 6' 0" 230 (Merced College) Merced, CA- 2 to play 2
CB- Mykel Tolliver 6'0" 180 (Hawaii) (R 3-Star) Will be a Junior
CB- Raeshawn Roland 5' 11" 170 (UT- Martin) (2 3-Star) 3 years to play 2
