So that is "no" then?thirdandlong wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 11:07 amUhhhhh, if we beat NAU by a large margin, it will prove nothing, because we will be predicted (including a huge line by Vegas) to destroy them. It is apples and oranges, something that must escape a liberal teacher. I don't hate Hauck. He just isn't ever going to win like he did previously. The game has passed him by, both in his attitude towards players, and in his approach to the Xs and Os. He gets out-coached weekly now. Of course, being the soccer-lover that you are, it would not be evident to you.SaskGriz wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 9:21 am
There are two sides to that coin; if we win be a large margin (you pick it) will you then drop your "I hate Coach Hauck" schtick? It's about as entertaining as watching a one float parade.
You want people who disagree with you to be all in on one game, do you have the sack to do the same?

I actually think they aren’t half bad this year. Maybe a little red turf luck… or SELA is bad. 35-10 against NDSU isn’t horrible as well.grizondarez wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 12:49 pmLucky no EWU? Do they make the playoffs with this schedule?
5-0 vs pioneer butler, UTT, D2 Ferris, NAU/ISU.
UCD- L
Idaho- L
UNC - W
SS- L
PSU - W
MSU- L
That puts them at 7-4 again, 6 D1 wins however. Luckily, no WSU or EWU on the schedule.

This week's games, in general, should be a good indication of the direction most of our teams are headed.
All of these games are good matchups.
UM's game in Flaggstaff would seem, on paper, to be a lopsided Grizz victory. However, the Jacks play well at home in their dome. Just ask MSU and WSU how easy it was to play there last season.
I'll probably have to stay up all night and watch all of the games.
I'm sure there will be some upsets.

I don't recruit Div. II players to stock our pathetic O-line, which blocked for a sterling 2.0/carry against a Div. II team. Your question is ridiculous, so I won't waste keystrokes. The statement still stands that Hauck can't recruit linemen as well as a Div.II team, which is the real point to this discussion.AZGrizFan wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 9:07 amthirdandlong wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 9:04 am
So, you are listing all of the recruiting deficiencies of the Hauck coaching staff. I get it. Of course they could have won the game. They out-played us, and gained 100 more yards than us. The crowd basically won the game for us, not Bobby's coaching. However, did that fact expose how bad were are, or how good thy are? Don't forget their 10-point victory over the powerhouse Ashland team.![]()

Has ZERO to do with "recruiting deficiencies". Nice spin though. Just can't answer the question, can you?

Really? You didn’t see a single player on that field that you’d like to see in maroon? You must be a piss poor judge of talent then, because that team has sent more players to the NFL than the Griz in the last 10 years. There’s a poop of drop downs on their roster. They’ve lost something like 3 road games in 8 years. They JUST. DON’T. LOSE. It’s just not your standard D2 team, and for you to just dismiss them because of their classification is a travesty. A sham. A mockery. It’s a traveshamockery.thirdandlong wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 5:03 pmI don't recruit Div. The GRIZ are much better than all you negative people think.
Vidlak is coming around and the defense held Ferris very well. I’ll be at the NAU game watching the GRIZ smoke em’!
Hope my screaming helps and I hope the coaches do what they did in the first two games and play all those new players. GO GRIZ

I would sell a kidney for #8 and #91 to be on our DL. Announcers were saying that #8 will likely be yet another Ferris player that makes an NFL roster after this season. Those boys were MONSTERS. Better than any DL we have not named Gubner and maybe Edwards.AZGrizFan wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 9:03 pmReally? You didn’t see a single player on that field that you’d like to see in maroon? Yep. Those were the two primary ones I was referring to. There were a couple others as well…that speedy RB would be nice.uofmman1122 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 11:01 pmI would sell a kidney for #8 and #91 to be on our DL. So, if he can't recruit as well as other teams, he must be out coaching them, right? He keeps having winning records, but you say he can't recruit at an FCS level and he is being outcoached every week. So how are these wins magically happening?thirdandlong wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 5:03 pmI don't recruit Div. By MSU standards I guess notCatsRback wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 3:10 pmI actually think they aren’t half bad this year. Maybe a little red turf luck… or SELA is bad. 35-10 against NDSU isn’t horrible as well.grizondarez wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 12:49 pm

A lot of teams are bad compared to MSU…

Careful thirdandlong you are racing up toward the line and I'm feeling a little trigger happy

The unexpected/improbable can happen.
Example #1) Griz at ISU, ISU going to close out a win in Holt with a FG, but the snapper launches a rocket WAY over the kickers head, Griz scoop and score(and win).
Example #2) Weebs long snapper launches not one, not two, not three, but FOUR rockets over the head of the kicker(s) resulting in scat scores, scats win by five.
ONE player, and one coach, F'd up each game. Improbable? Yes. Fact? Yes. Sh*t happens.

Serious question: when was the last time a Bobby coached long snapper snapped the ball over the head of a kicker? Bobby's special teams units rarely make those types of catastrophic mistakes. I'm not saying it could never happen, just that it seems quite improbable.3-7-77 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 7:51 pm The unexpected/improbable can happen.

If I had known egriz was going to last, I would have chosen a better username.
Neither of those two snappers was coached by Bobby. Bobby would NOT have left the snapper in the game. The coach mention probably routinely plays golf in thunderstorms. I don't.
There's just something about Walkup and Holt Arenas that spooks me.
