Since we are all being honest in this thread... comparatively, um is a large community College when compared with MSU, on any metric you can cherry pick. As far as community colleges go, um has excellent athletic programs.

Easy there sugartits. MSU isn't even best ag college, or engineering college in the conference

As someone previously mentioned, Montana State doesn't even have the best engineering program in the state .

Good job so far on the year. Basketball tournaments should be fun. Sounds like the cats will win both from your post and likely make a little run in the NCAA tournament. A preemptive congrats on that also. I can see why the Griz have turned you into a weirdo. Didn't realize your mens basketball team just won their first game in Missoula since 2010, and won 1, I repeat, 1 game against the Griz from 2011 to 2020. Take a minute to wrap your head around that. Unless that's a typo that's hard to even believe, but it does explain your exasperation. The fact is that your little streaks don't hold a candle to what we've done to you. So no harm, no foul. I hadn't heard of the all sports trophy so that's pretty cool too. Maybe in a couple decades UM will recover and win another football game as it's been just over a year since our last win against you. Your lack of perspective is impressive, but again, understandable.

This is all so fun. Cat fans, check back in a decade and see how things stand.

um will still be behind MSU in almost all sports, academics, enrollment, etc. The gap is getting wider.

Lil’ bro done growed up. Hoops team (following the football team’s lead in dominating the conference) takes down the league title and heading to the dance for the second year in a row. MSU owns this state.

Disappointing loss last night for the Cats, but mainly because the missed some uncontested shots they normally make. Very close to making noise in this tourney. After what they showed last night, and who is likely coming back, Cats should again win the Big Sky title. Same with football, WBB, and several other sports. :thumb:

How's the Cat basketball programs looking today? Still predicting conference titles? You are getting just what you deserved, for being so obnoxious.

Absolutely. Excellent programs get excellent coaches and players poached by bigger programs. Then they re load with coaches and players that are just as good, if not better. It’s the nature of the beast with a successful program. Doesn’t happen so much at UM these days.

MSU hoops is toast. They are done. They are history. You are getting what you deserve. MSU isn't an excellent program. It got a good coach who got some good players, and did well. Now they are all gone.

Sure, just like the football program when we lost Choate..... we'll see how things shake out. Do you think the griz will go above .500 in hoops next year?

MSU has an established program in football. It does not have an established program in men's basketball. Huge difference. Looks like MSU hoops is toast. Yes, UM basketball will be well over .500.

I think the all sports trophy is dominated by MSU again, something like 14 to 3. 7th year in a row. Again, total domination.

If the Fleabags win 31 in a row, then it will be EVEN... If the Griz had a competent HC and OC, that number would be higher. The Cats will probably win every game until there is a coaching change at UM.

BUT.... Montana will always be able to buy it's way into the playoffs with the current coach.
