Tim Hauck

Well-known member
Anyone know, why he's not officially part of the GRIZ staff?
I'd think, it would be awesome for the Hauck's to coach together. He's more than qualified. I'm sure the U of M would welcome him aboard.

Is he even interested in an opportunity here?

I hope, someone can clue everyone in.

Personality differences maybe. Also imagine playing in the NFL, coaching in the NFL and then taking a coordinator position under your brother? Two highly competitive alpha males. Has it worked previously. Yes. Would it work now. Doubtful.

What I was told Tim would lick to do it but doesn’t want to deal with all the other things that coaches have to deal with. Like boosters and chasing kids down for going to not going to class etc.. there is more to the job than critics on egriz understand.

Exactly what I have been told from a very good source.

“Critics” on egriz understand the job isn’t just coaching on Saturdays. But we didn’t sign up for the job. The coaches did. So yeah, if he doesn’t want to deal with “all the other things that coaches have to deal with” then he’s probably not cut out to be a college coach. And if you can’t deal with “all the other things coaches have to deal with” successfully then you’re probably not cut out to be a college coach.

Good guy. We don't need another Hauck roaming around.

Gonna be real hard to funnel all the tackles to Robby while he’s on the sideline.

I'm guessing he'll "accidentally" run on the field and jump on the pile to reminisce. The interesting part is going to be Robby running onto the field after a timeout to let the team know what Bobby told him.

Tim Hauck is a very rich man and doesn't have to deal with anything he doesn't want to.

Agreed. And I actually agree with him--I wouldn't want to deal with all the other bullshit that goes along with being a coach either.  Rich OR poor!

I feel like there's a big difference between "isn't cut out for" and "can't be bothered". He's earned the right to not have to deal with all that shit if he doesn't want to.

If he does somehow end up our secondary coach, it'd be an incredible steal. He's an outstanding DB coach.

well it's semantics. If he can't be bothered, then he's not cut out for that kind of work... ;) ;)

Bro, don’t peel back the curtain too much. 95% of the shit we argue about on here is semantics.

no it's not!!!

Maybe the crash and burn at UNLV did it? That was the last place the two coached together.

It could be the bullshit of dealing with college athletes, I suppose. But it's the fans, not the Haucks, who push this narrative of the brothers coaching together being a great thing. It's the fans who rationalize why it isn't so.
