Whiskey

Local distillery Montgomery Whiskey is pretty good.

Tempton Rye, from Iowa but recently found at the Silver Slipper liquor store in MSO
Bullet 95 Rye
Woodinville Rye (not sure it's under $50, was a gift)

Makers is good, but the above 3 I'll drink neat easily.

If you're a rye fan, JP Wisers tripple distilled green label is pretty good, at less than $25.

Honest question, has anyone here tried Proper Twelve?

Not a big Irish Whisky guy but I thought it was fine. Had a couple shots of it during football season for some dumb reason.

McGreggor is a great promoter though so maybe he'll turn it into something big.

I've really gotten into some of the local distilleries. So far, any thing I've tried from Willie's has been pretty good. But my two favorites are Never Sweat, and Trailhead Spririts' Highwood Wheat Whiskey.

If you can get to The Rocks at Big Sky, you can taste about 25 MT brands.

I prefer Bourbon, Jim beam is my choice. I enjoy Jim Beam Fire at tailgating far more than Fireball. A really smooth Bourbon with a great flavor I enjoy is Never Sweat from the Distillery in Butte!
Old Granddad (now owned by Beam).

Proper Twelve in my opinion isn't very good! Lacks the smoothness the better whiskey have ...

Not sure what this says about me but... I just like plain of Jack!
Jack n Coke solid standard...
But reading this makes me think I should expand my taste...

My uncle, who died several years ago at the age of 93 had Jack and Coke every night for the last 50 years of his life.

Tonight I had a little Hudson Baby Bourbon. I think most would enjoy. Not impossible to find but is more difficult these days.
