This is true. Went to most of the games in the Krysco years and they never got over the hump. We drove to Boise for the tourney (83 or 4?) and they bombed in the first round that year. Travis' guys get it done when it's clobbering time.

Great memory, I had forgotten about Herb, what an exciting player he was. We were really bummed when they went down that tourney. Hopes were very high.

The loss of Herb was huge and incredibly tragic.

I can never find any highlights of our win in 2006 against Nevada. Are there any out there?
The highlight was Krysko and Andrew Strait ending all talk of Nick Fazekas being a first-round NBA pick.

That being said, I think Travis has done a consistently better job for a longer time than any other Griz hoop coach.

That was the year, Proud Griz, my memory is not so sharp anymore, LOL. Seasoned squad, the weather in Boise was glorious (sunny and 70 degrees after a long, grey Missoula winter) and we could taste a trip to the Dance. It was a letdown.

Don’t forget Bruce (Burns?)! Hard to compare the quality of those LK teams to the current roster because of all the rule changes since then, but I say TDC has the higher quality teams overall and clearly has the Griz in better position to win the conference year in and year out. Has to be GOAT.
