Final was 78-65 PS
Their 1-3-1 defense had us taking bad shots.

Not even starting another thread on today’s game. Griz out rebounded Idaho by a wide margin and had a much higher three point percentage and free throw percentage. The only statistic not in their favor was turnovers. Idaho did not score in the third quarter. Not one point and the Griz still lost!!! Feel bad for the girls.

FG% is really a problem for this team. I am just not sure what they can do? Practice, if so practice what....shooting, a special clinic? Turnovers, just not cool, cures?, special clinic?? Here is one ,Jeff Van Gundy has said, “Shooting percentage is as much about decision making as it is about technique." More simply, teams shoot better when they take better shots.

Lady Griz were up by 7 with 7 minutes left at Idaho and scored 4 points in the next 4 minutes and zero points the last 3 minutes of the game. Just terrible

Good question. Shooting is also about confidence. Numerous open looks and they were no not knocking them down. To be fair, Idaho could not hit the broad side of a barn from outside. Their inside game was what made the difference. Could not stop those two sisters. Idaho’s guard play was bad. Hard to believe they are near the top of the conference. Montana has shooters - seems more psychological than fundamentals. Shooting form was not bad.

there is an old saying..."practice makes perfect" well it is not true. "Perfect practice makes perfect" You see when you have a horrible coach who can't coach her way out of a paper bag...you get poor fundamentals and no chance of ever winning a championship. People, we have allowed the bar to be set too low. I will say it again...we need a new coach if we want to get back to our former glory. And yes teams will shoot better if they take better shots...that starts from coaching. Everything starts with coaching. Fundamentals, better offensive sets, better rotations and esprit de corps. All comes from coaching. You have heard the term the sh** rolls down hill"??? well that is very true. As goes the coach so goes the team. Time for a change.
