Stitt is not afraid to get his name out there. The more recruits know who we are, the better. Needless to say, the importance of a great showing on national tv against NDSU, then a deep playoff run.

Although Stitt is not (yet) a common household name he may be a little better known at the national level than MD, especially with the few clicks on the keyboard I could see kids getting a little more curious and excited about coming to MT even if they hadn't considered it prior.

Hopefully we do decent or better than anticipated this season under a new coach, qb, etc.

Also, I think he mentioned something in his FB Q&A about recruiting Colorado harder.

If you're a twitter stalker like myself, check out who the assistants are following as well. Casting a wide net to say the least. The camps and clinics should also be helpful in trolling for prospects given Stitts rep. Sorry, blanking on another fishing reference.

If Stitt does manage to pull a rabbit out of his hat this season, there should a bigger bounce for recruiting. Thanks for keeping up with this.

Underestimating Stitt may be the downfall of some opposing teams we face this season. I am guessing we win some games we are expected to lose.
This new coach and crew will take recruiting to the next level.
Young men like a cool coach. They also enjoy playing for a winning team.
Many tools are available now to get a highly regarded player. I Predict a very good group of players coming in 2016.

NEW OFFER: Rey Green 5'11" 195 RB Vancouver, WA (Evergreen HS)
via Jordan Johnson from Northwest Elite Index @JordanJNEI

Looks like the Bobcats and Eastern have already offered him too

It might be a little early to track kids "committing elsewhere."

Most of these high school juniors will be hopping around for a while. If Boise is offering Littlejohn in March, you can bet it won't be his last offer.

Payton must be on a well needed rest after all his work last season. Give him a shot of his choice and a cutie to assist him and he will fly sweep back on track for next season!

griz offered a SS from Virginia who's currently committed to Virginia Tech...

Interesting.....same hometown as Michael Vick, same last name, committed to same school as both Mike & Marcus....I'm thinking must be a relative.

What's going on here? Does Payton know about this.

 This was how this process started last year as well....some early groundwork done, and then PL, in his usual superb manner, takes the ball and runs. :thumb:

And you can bet those who have already commited to FBS schools, won't be de-commiting to go to an FCS team. Most verbal commitments stick. Some players will be commited and de-commit during their senior years before signing with another school, and an even smaller number commit to multiple schools in the process.

I've watched Chase Lucas and he is a special player. Hopefully Montana can get some of his teammates as he will go to a PAC 12 level school. Chandler high has several Big Sky level players, won their first state title last year in 80+ years. I'm sure Lucas wasn't the only guy Montana offered.

Chase Benson was a Class AA 1st Team DE this past football season (2014) for Helena High. He'll be one of the very best Montana senior recruits in 2015. :twocents:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the Helena Independent Record:

Chase Benson, a 6-4, 245-pound junior defensive end, stands second on Helena High's season list in quarterback hurries (40), and No. 3 in tackles for loss (24) and sacks (12). He is also sixth with 317 defensive points.

“Chase is a big, physical specimen that loves to play football,” (head coach) Arntson said. “He’s learning that with hard work and dedication there is no limit to how good he can be. Chase will step in to be a main leader for the Bengals in 2015.”

I hope they go after Andrew Grinde from CM Russell. Kid ran over, through, and around everybody last year. Gatorade POY and a chance to win it again next year. Only football player to win it twice in Montana was some guy named Dave Dickenson... (also CMR grad)
