Contact Period — It's permissible for authorized athletic department staff members to make in-person and off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations. College coaches are allowed to visit recruits off–campus (at their high school or home). Coaches can make only one visit per week to individual recruits and are permitted to make one phone call per week to a recruit during this period.

Quiet Period — Recruits can visit with college coaches but only at those college campuses. Also, during the month of September, October or November coaches are permitted to make one in-person off-campus visit to a recruit (at their high schools or at an athletic event) (colleges are allowed a total of 42 days of evaluation time during this period).

Dead Period — Coaches are not permitted to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on or off-campus or to permit official or unofficial visits by recruits or to make phone calls to recruits.

Evaluation Period — It's permissible for authorized athletics department staff to be involved in off-campus activities to assess academic qualifications and playing abilities. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts with a prospect are permitted during these evaluations: the college coaches are only allowed to attend athletic events and/or the prospect's school and talk to the high school coaches and school administrators but they are not allowed to speak to the recuit during one of thes visits except to say "hello." Colleges are allowed a total of approximatley 168 days each year to conduct evaluations for all of their prospective recruits.

Interesting. All OL we have offered so far are 6'4" or shorter and seem to be on the lighter side. Not saying that's bad just different from the bohemiths we have recruited in the past. Anyways, hope we can pick up some more talent on the line. Seems like it should be a priority this year.

Yeah, but, according to the list of players offered last year that 'Paytonlives' put up, I think we got about one or two out of about a hundred offered. Wish we were having better odds on this sort of deal.

There were hundreds contacted but only about 35 that rec offers last year...

I hope that Javon Williams comes here. We could use a tall WR like that.

Been saying for a couple years now that this style offense requires smaller, more athletic OL. Not that anyone listens to me but I'm glad to see it.

That's a whole lotta Arizona goin' on....did they offer everyone in the STATE that got rated 2 stars?

No, there are a couple 3 star players in there as well As you know, there is alot of good football down in AZ. Hope it continues...and hope they can handle the cold!

thanks payton for the thread,,,,i have a winter home in chandler and watch them play a couple times a year and they almost always win,,,the one thing that stands out about 5a az football and our 2a in montana is SPEED...at every position....chandler high is also good about every year,,,the two are big rivalries

i forgot to mention the first school close to me is hamilton high...chandler high is upt the the street 2 or 3 miles...in downtown chandler...apology for the confusion

I have a winter home in Cave Creek.



Unfortunately, it's also my summer home.

Not if anyone can dig anything up, but heard today, we have 3 Colorado kids looking at Montana. I am not sure if my chain was being yanked, or if the guy who told me is legit on this. 4 times he has told me this stuff early, and he is batting .500 over the last 4 years. He only gives me positions DB/WR, LB/TE, and OL. Can anyone expand on any of this? I am trying to get more, but likely cannot until football season.

Heard through the proverbial grape vine that there was an offer made to Caleb Kidder (Helena Capital) and he verbally committed and an offer to Haakon Nordrum (Skyview) didn't hear about if he committed or not.
