Is there a more snowflake cause than the drive to end Daylight Saving Time? A one hour change twice a year making you tired, causing increased illness (blah, blah, blah). I have recently gotten several petitions to end this atrocity. OMG, the horror!
The reality is that a huge number of people deal with time change all the time because they cross over a time zone or even time zones for their jobs. Millions (or maybe even billions) of people travel every year to different time zones for vacations. Maybe we should outlaw all of that for the horrible stress it places on their poor bodies? Or better yet, let's abolish time zones. The entire world would just be one time zone and none of pain of dealing with time change would have to be endured!
I am not saying that DST serves the same purpose it once did or that ending it would be a tragic mistake but the reasons cited for ending it in these petitions would make any snowflake proud. Be sure to sign those petitions!
