Don't want to belabor this (I'm a Griz & GrizWBB fanatic like y'all) but there's a Montana team... right now... that's transforming into a contender.
Last night Montana GrizVB soundly swatted MSU 3-1 (the game wasn't close) and now -- at 16-10/9-5 in Big Sky -- moved to within 1.5 games out of first & 1 game behind two second-place teams in the Big Sky.
The Griz are a long shot, but just get better every game. Ironically, the Missoulian, the Chronicle and 406 MT Sports totally missed the game. Fans showed up in solid, I think record-breaking numbers, as a raucous crowd of 2205 fans (it was loud) and a pretty wild student section, supported Montana in its win.
Montana coach Allison Lawrence, in a ground-up rebuild, has Montana volleyball playing like it did in the 90s.
