Awesome! Daughter of NFL QB Brock Huard. She is out of Washington. This is a good get for coach and his staff!

She has a stud younger sister too. Haley is ranked 4th best recruit in state and younger sister is 5th. They are moving to Colorado to play for a powerhouse high school program.

This is great news. It’s exciting to see positive news during these trying times. Congratulations to Haley and congratulations to Coach Petrino and to his staff. I’m anxious to see how the season develops. Go GRiZ!

Take a moment and read Madi Schoening’s address to Griz nation on goGRiZ.com. One cannot help but be impressed by this young lady and her dedication to Lady GRiZ basketball, the University of Montana, to Missoula and to the State of Montana. I am proud of the way that she represents the University of Montana and wish her great success. Madi is the epitome of class.

Me thinks that the Lady Griz will be the favorites to win the Big Sky this coming season if there is going to be a season. I certainly do believe that the players that Petrino is bringing in are better than the ones that have left. Of course, it would be nice to have Haley this season then have to wait until next season as Lady Griz could really use a 3 point shooter this year.

Huge signing. Especially if we can also land the younger sister in couple years (class of 23).

We haven’t had a 3 point threat who can shoot like that for a looooong time. You don’t go 8/11 by accident.

Anybody know why Haley and Macey didn't play at the same high school in WA? Anyways, here's Haley's Hudl:

I agree, Hooked.

Watching her Hudl one can see she has a super smooth and confident shot.

To me this feels like the best lady Griz verbal commitment in a long time.

I don't know why the sisters did not play at the same HS.

JR Haley played in 4A at Eastlake in Sammamish, and FR Macey played in 1A at Bear Creek (GRIZZLIES) in Redmond.

Total guess here, but maybe Varsity playing was a factor? Because Bear Creek had a varsity made up of seven freshmen, one sophomore and one senior.

She has one of the quicker releases since Sonya (about .5 seconds).

If you're talking about Sonya Stokken (Rogers), I am really happy to hear that. She was one of Montana's all-time greats. Thanks for that insight!
