Transferring out of UMass Lowell. Looks like this guy is in the boat.

I was wondering who the extra player in street clothes is, I guess it is Darius Henderson. Good sized kid, still pretty raw offensively.

I assume that he is a walk on since we dont currently have any scholarships available for next season.

Next years scholarships:
Owens, Falls, Vazquez, Gaskin, Egun, Selcuk, Anderson, Steadman, Carter-Hollinger, Whitney, Beasley, Bannan, Clarke (13), so it looks like you are correct, or 1 returnee is not getting one. At least, it's a good problem to have. I hope we don't lose anyone. Good thing that Brown is on an academic scholarship. Next season, he may see time for his perimeter shot.

I had a quick convo with one of the coaches last week. They are really excited to get this guy good touch can bang and most importantly is a halfway decent post defender with the athleticism to trap. Which has been lacking.
My next question is why does a 6'8 220 lb high school kid who plays for a big school (La Salle) that can shoot decent from deep, can post up inside, is athletic only have one scholarship from a small D1 all the way across the country then quits halfway through his second season? Attitude? Grades? No idea just seems odd.
All that being said MAN next year's squad is going to be DEEP and LEGIT!!!

He's from Pasadena. Maybe that's why somebody transfers back West. Also: Honors student.

So what do we know about Darius? What’s his game look like?

Haha ask and you shall recieve

That was perfect thank you. Exactly what I was looking for. Sounds like a really good addition

Agreed. One thing that stood out to me - his moves in the key and low post / block - and they way he controls his body - reminds me of a thicker version of Sayeed.

Hmm, article says the GRIZ will have 5 scholarships for fall 2020. I don't know how we will be at 5? I think we have 1 spare now, losing 3 Srs (I'm not sure if Samuelson is on scholarship). Either way, for us to have 5 scholarships, that means someone is leaving or losing a scholarship. I guess, I will have to pay more attention to who plays, bench demeanor, etc, to begin to figure this 1 out. I haven't noticed nothing different or off with DeCuire's strategy and player minutes. Other than Yagi not playing, like he did when he 1st was eligible. I doubt Yagi and the school would cut ties this soon. There really isn't a need to do so. Egun has kind of been lost in the shuffle in terms of minutes. However, he seems to have a great attitude, and DeCuire has been consistent with his rotations and depth during his time at Montana. So again, nothing alarming regarding Egun.

The team chemistry is great and getting better. It appears to me, every player is buying in and on the same page as the staff. Unlike FCS football, scholarships cannot be split up. This really has me wondering.

That is why I posted the article that fact caught my eye. I totally agree those are the two in the chopping block.

Help here. Article says he has played for one and half years and will have one and half years of eligibility left, what did I miss.

He played all of his freshman year and part of his sophomore year at his prior school. Thus, two years of eligibility used. Due to transfer rules, he will most likely not be eligible next season until the first semester is over, much like Yagi this year. So, he will begin junior year early in the conference season and have one full year of eligibility after that.
