Rated a 3 star recruit by 247 sports, appears to have visited Virginia. Had an offer from Nevada before coach Musselman left.

SAN RAMON — In Robby Beasley’s three seasons on Dublin’s varsity basketball team, the Gaels played some of the wildest games in the Bay Area.

But the star point guard will not finish his high school career where it started.

Beasley, a first-team all-Bay Area News Group selection this past season, enrolled at Dougherty Valley this spring after the family moved to San Ramon, his father, Robert, said Monday.

“We really loved Dublin; no animosity,” Robert Beasley said, noting that he spoke to his son’s former coaches. “We ended up moving for family reasons, so we had to end up going to the school that’s in our district.”

In the Beasley era at Dublin, the Gaels won 80 of 97 games, celebrated an East Bay Athletic League championship in 2017 and reached the EBAL final in 2018 and 2019.

They also lost three gut-wrenching North Coast Section Division I playoff games, falling to De La Salle 53-51 in the 2017 final, Heritage 100-98 in double overtime in the semifinals in 2018 and James Logan 86-83 in the semifinals this past season when Tim Oldham hit a 30-foot turnaround prayer at the buzzer after running down a loose ball near midcourt in front of the scorer’s table.

Beasley averaged 17.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game as a junior.

In his high school career, he is averaging 17.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest.

His most fondest memory was winning the EBAL his freshman year and playing with Timmy Falls, now at Montana, according to Robert.

Wow! Huge commit. Maxpreps had him 6th team all-California as a junior. Twenty of the top twenty-five were seniors. That would make him second team this year if everything stayed the same. Two of the five listed on first team: Evan Mobley, the top recruit in the nation and Jalen Green, the third ranked recruit in the U.S.

That is but one sites list and likely overrated, but regardless, that is big time!

Dublin has become my favorite CA high school.

I Guess next season I will making a road trip up
to missoula for a couple of home games that

Thanks for your input. I've noticed your posts before. And thanks for helping the Griz.

I assume you had better vertical than Delvon?
